Dual headphone jacks
Being optimized for indoor desktop use, the new K3 is equipped with both 3.5mm single-ended and 2.5mm balanced headphone jacks. Both outputs have audio jack detection, which means that when headphones are inserted into the balanced out, balanced boost automatically kicks in resulting in about a 50% output power increase compared to the single-ended out.
Line out
The 3.5mm line out is driven directly by the OPA1612 op-amp, to ensure as little sound quality reduction as possible. The line out output is also adjustable with maximum power output up to 2Vrms, to ensure compatibility with a wide variety of active speakers and external amplifiers.
PS: When using the line out, please disconnect any headphones
Reliable USB Type-C input interface
The new K3 adopts the modern USB Type-C input interface for a more reliable and stable connection, including that of power. However, care to ensure an uncompromised power supply doesn't stop there – the new K3 implements overvoltage protection (OVP) and a double-filter circuit to ensure power supply stability, while the digital and analog audio circuits each get their own power supply to greatly reduce crosstalk.
Coaxial and Optical digital outs
The XMOS USB receiver chip in the new K3 directly converts any USB audio input to digital signals output via the coaxial and optical connectors, allowing you to connect to speaker systems, amplifiers, or other external decoders.
* The volume knob does not control digital output volume. The New K3 headphone amps can output digital audio signals up to 192kHz and DSD64 over DoP. Please adjust the settings of the device you are connecting the NEW K3 to if the device does not support the digitally output format.
Different connection options for your choice
1. Connect it to a desktop computer when you at home or office.
2. Use the driverless 1.0 mode for your business trips.
3. Make it a digital turntable connected to an external decoder, you would love it.
4. Connect it to a speaker, using the New K3 amplifier as a DAC. You would know how HiFi it is.
Gain and bass switches
The switch for high and low gain ensures that you can use the new K3 with a wide variety of headphones, and that your listening volume needs are covered. The hardware bass boost switch enhances the dynamic range of the lower frequencies and gives them some extra punch to really make your songs, games, and movies come to life.
Two modes for many situations
Sometimes, you may not have access to a device that can connect to the new K3 via USB Audio Class 2. In these situations, you can go to USB Audio Class 1 mode with just the flick of a switch.
· In high-performance applications, you can use the 2.0 mode to enjoy up to 384kHz/DSD 256 decoding.
· For certain situations, you can use the 1.0 mode to enjoy up to 96kHz/24-bit PCM audio without needing any drivers.
*Using the 2.0 mode requires downloading and installing the FiiO USB driver
*After switching USB modes, you need to either turn the new K3 off and on, or unplug and plug in the USB cable.

Lo he comprado para unos dt 770 pro de 80 ohms, la verdad que de primeras no he notado mucha diferencia y casi lo devuelvo, pero al seguir la configuración para mac en la página de fiio el cambio ha sido abismal y ahora no paro de escuchar música.Edito:Después de 2 días de uso continuo en mac studio encontré 3 problemas:1 - Cuando le doy al play tarda unos segundos en escucharse.2 - Cuando no se reproduce nada se escucha un tic molesto, que si estas reproduciendo y pausando continuamente, llega a ser bastante molesto.3 - Al menos durante 5 veces me pasó que, una vez daba a reproducir directamente no sonaba nada, sin llegar a sonar en ningún momento.Tras investigar antes de nada, se ve que con mac no funciona bien y estas cosas en windows no pasan, por lo que he podido ver.A si que tuve que devolverlo porque no funcionó para mí, pero sigo pensando que es un muy buen dispositivo y hace que suene todo muchísimo mejor.

I have had it for about a month and it works perfectly and easily drives the HD6XX (300 ohm) with plenty of room to spare even on single ended output. It goes even louder on balanced output. It also drives the HIFIMAN Edition XS (planars with low sensitivity) easily again from single ended output. As far as operation and function is concerned there have been no issues. The main problem was the packaging. It did not come it the box as expected. It came in a plastic bag with the rubber feet already attached and with the spare feet missing. I am not able to tell if it is a used or new product and if it is a genuine or counterfeit product. Also not able to tell if it has the new ESS chip which I wanted or the older AKM chip. There are no external differences so unless you open it up and read the chip label you wont know what you are getting. It is a good little amp on the whole. It seemed a little pricey at first because you could get a more powerful K5 for around USD150 but think the K3 has its niche considering it takes up much less space and does not need external power.

After less then a year the device no longer plays audio and seems to have some sort of internal problem with the amp. it is completely burned out and only plays music at the lowest of volume and if you turn it up it disconnects from my pc. the issue is present on all modes and does not go away no matter what device is connected. I have to say i am very disappointed as I chose this to suit my needs at a reasonable price and it failed.

Nach einige Wochen nutzung kann ich sagen dass der FiiO K3 New wirklich empfehlenswert ist.TonqualitätFür mich war die Tonqualität am wichtigsten, und das ist meines erachtens nach hervorragend. Ich habe es mit einem Kopfhörer und mit Aktivboxen getestet, der Kopfhörer hat eine Impedanz von 32 Ohm. Der Klang ist wirklich detailliert, die Höhen sind sehr gut definiert, alles klingt klarer und die Stereoabbildung hat sich sehr verbessert, ich höre jetzt alle Instrumente gut positioniert, separat.VerarbeitungAlso der kleine DAC ist wirklich gut verarbeitet, wirkt edel, da würde ich eher sagen dass es aus Japan wäre, hätte ich nicht gewusst dass es aus China ist.Lautstärke - PowerAlso für ein Kopfhörer mit 32 Ohm Impedanz hat kann es sehr laut werden, mehr als ausreichend.Ich würde dass jedem empfehlen der Kopfhörer mit dem Computer nutzt.

I bought this to use with my Mac and it worked OK in USB 1.1 mode. It had the voltage to drive my Beyerdynamic DT770m 80 ohm headphones fairly well and I liked the higher quality sound. It will work in USB 2.0 mode and the USB-C connector is welcome.I like how it punches up the sound and gives me the most out of my high-impedance headphones.

Love this little amp. I had the BTR5 and really wanted a volume knob. So I got the k7 and I was disappointed because it basically sounded exactly the same so I returned it. I thought why not give this little k3 a try and boy am I happy I did! It's clear has a volume knob that responds immediately (unlike the k7) and it was a bass boost with makes my Focal Elegia sound sooooo good and creamy. Great buy! I'm keeping it! Technically has clearly reached a peak of some sort and you don't have to spend a crazy about of money to get something good. In fact in the case it was half the price and better!

Yaklaşık 150ohm luk empedansıyla en üst segment hariç piyasadaki baya bir kulaklığı besler sıkıntı yaratmaz. Önceliği masaüstü ama ben cep telefonunda kullanıyorum. Telefonun Otg özelliğini açıp type c kablosuyla kolaylıkla bağlayıp kullanabiliyorsunuz. fiio'nun q3 modeli de vardır o da iyidir biraz daha tuzludur. Onun kendine ait bataryası var k3'te yok. K3 telefondan alıyor gücü benim telefonun 5000 mah lık batarayası var iki yıllık ve baya yıpranmış bir bataryadır. Güç harcama olarakta saatlik k3 kullanımında %14 götürüyor. Yalnız cep telefonunda kullanılacaksa 1.0 modunda bilgisayarda kullanılacaksa sürücü yükleyip 2.0 modunda kullanılmalı.Uzun yolculuklarda ya da bir bankta otururken veya yürüyüş yaparken, boş zamanlarınızda müzik dinlemekten hoşlanıyorsanız ve bunu hep yapıyorsanız güzel bir hobiniz var demektir. Müzik dinleme hobinizi daha kaliteli hale getirin. Markası ne olursa olsun ucuz kulaklıklarla dinlediğiniz parçaların aslında sırf gürültü olduğunu hayretler içinde görün. Daha kaliteli müzik dinlemenin gerekliliklerini yerine getirin. K3'ü veya çıkış gücü uygun başka bir kulaklık amfisi alın. K3 özelinde söylüyorum bir Audio technica'nın m50x'ini ya da beyerdynamic'in 770 pro 80 ohm'luk kulaklılarını alın. O dinlediğiniz parçaları bir daha dinleyin çok mutlu olacaksınız. Yalnız ben daha çok istiyorum, daha geniş sahne, daha ayrıntılı midler istiyorum falan diye düşünmeye başlarsanız yandınız odyofil dünyasına ya da hastalığına hoş geldiniz. Onun da maliyet olarak üst sınırı yok satarsınız bağı, bahçeyi gene de yetmez.

What sounds good to one, may not to someone else. it's all subjective and highly suggestible as well.+This unit sounds as good or better than the Soundblaster Z and Xonar sound cards it replaced.+It is much smaller than i imagined (which is a good thing)+The box had everything i needed in it.+I plugged it in and it worked flawlessly with no additional steps, downloads or interactions neededI bought this because my SB Z stopped transmitting audio from the optical port. no amount of driver downloads, reinstalls, etc could get it working. i even upgraded to windows 11 with no help there.so enter the Asus Xonar, optical audio worked but would click/pop every time i paused the music or left the computer with no sound playing for more than 10 seconds. Not good.so as a last ditch effort i figured an external DAC would be the solution. sure it's a few dollars more, but came highly rated so i figure - why not.I am NOT sorry that i made that decision. I have high quality working audio with no effort on my part and i can now move on to other things. I wish i had bought this sooner, as the time i spent messing around with the other cards was worth more than the extra $20 i spent on this. just buy it. there is no reason not to. Works with windows 11 also.

mooie betaalbare oplossing om je audio beter te laten klinken.het is plug en play.je bent uiteraard afhankelijk van de kwaliteit van de opnames die op de cd staan.en daar zit heel veel verschil in.

OK trying to keep it shortFiio k3 Type C (new version)Basically its a good buy if you are able to fix the plagued audio popping issue, which is a file edit in the Fiio driver folder making it to where the option to keep the device always outputting sound is revealed/enabledWithout this fix I cannot recommend, its like trying to drive a car with a lump on a tire.One other issue you will encounter is the maximum audio quality (32bit 384000hz) setting being incompatible with various programs, spotify and bioshock 1 are two for instance. you will have to switch audio sources back and fourth after the program is running for it to pickup for whatever reason.This issue is not present for myself personally on anything below 32bit 192000hzLastly issue-wise I had weird activity with usb 1 mode, two of my computers will only play sound from the left channel on this mode, BUT my other computer will play evenly (all windows 10). There seems to be some lack of software support through windows or it. But what do I know.to wrap up I don't understand why a 110 dollar product is having these issues and with that being said I think you should consider Fiio e10k at 40 dollars less. you could almost buy two e10ks for the price of it and be equally satisfied. think about your life and what you need. personally upgraded because onboard motherboard audio is that terrible.Pros-clear upgrade, miles better than onboard motherboard audio-multiple outputs, can use your headphones and speakers same time (feels like haptic feedback)-harness your headphones potentialCons-cost relative to Fiio e10k (75usd vs 110usd) k3-serious lack of software support (games and programs will freak out if you use max audio quality output depending on use)-audio popping unless fix applied. (tested on four windows installs and one ubuntu)
