These ARE NOT a finger cot like pictured.Yes, they unroll like a finger cot "kinda".However, they are NOT closed at the end like the ones pictured in the ad.They are open. You have to TWIST them closed. *(Not REAL comfortable when you have the end of your finger ripped open)Then you end up with two ROLLS of covering up or half way up your finger. It isn't like you can just cut off the excess!Otherwise you have to unroll the entire thing, figure out how much you need, then try to roll it back up, so that you can roll it over the gauze and medication you have on your wound.I guess if you were using them to protect your knuckles or over moisturizer, they would be fine. They are not actual first aid finger cots!

My only problem is the injury on my fingertip makes it difficult to push my finger through the opening. But once I figured out a method, these do what I bought them for- protect it from further injury.

Fit better, felt sturdier, provided more comfort against the skin, and the tighter weave helped better protect against dust/dirt reaching the finger. Much better than the gauze type used generally at medical offices.

I didn't realize that these were more of an annoyance to use & uncomfortable. You slide one side on, and hope that it doesn't rub the medication off the area of your finger and onto the material when sliding it down. Then you have to take the other half... twist it & then slide that part down. IF you don't twist it properly... then a hole will appear and then you have to redo it ... this is the ANNOYANCE part.Once it's done... the bottom of the material is still rolled up, because you won't use all the material. due to this... it's like having a rubber band twisted on your finger, that the uncomfortable part.ANNOYED & UNCOMFORTABLE.

Had to get 6 stitches in the pad my finger tip, not supposed to use bandaids and it was an awkward slice and spot, used these with a little gause and they worked great. I could still use my hand, pretty comfortable, easy to remove. Definitely reccomend if you work with your hands and get a cut from time to time.
