Works fine but should have more options for naming the location of the smoke. I’d also like a non taking detectors that uses photo detection and not ionization. This was the only choice.

Come on, BRK... Don't be so cheap. At this price point, the smoke detector should come with ALL necessary installation parts. These smoke detectors do NOT come with wire nuts or face plate mounting screws.So if you are replacing your smoke detector, SAVE your screws and wire nuts to use with this replacement. If you're installing detectors for the first time in a new-construction home, or installing in a room that has no preview smoke detector, this product does not include with everything you will need.

This did not come with the screws for the mounting plate. I called up First Alert customer service. They offered to send me screws for free. I asked what adapter plug I needed if I was replacing an old Kiddie smoke detector with this one. First Alert customer support offered to send me an adapter plug for free.
