I actually purchased this because I had several babies in my tank and I started using this to protect them and it worked great I would definitely recommend this if someone has fish that have a lot of babies This is the perfect protector I would definitely find another one.

The unit is what you would expect for a Chinese made product at this price. I don't have any complaints about that at all. Knowing that, you should be careful with the way you handle and treat it. The design seemed good. The suction cups stick really well. Hard to get off when you're ready and that's a good thing. Now, when I read reviews a lot of the negative reviews are obviously due to user error. I'll admit that I could be guilty of that as well. I've had two different female guppies escape from this contraption. They do it at night, so I only suspect they're getting out through the holes on the lid. Another review suggested lowering the water in the tank so the top of the breeder box is above the water line. That's not in the instructions but it failed to hold the females upon my initial install.

Bought two of these. I quarantined the female and I got many new born fish. Was so excited and kept the new born in these boxes in the big tank to feed them everyday. About a week later, one morning, the suctions just pop out and the box were floating and all the fry got out and were eaten. A couple days later, same thing happened to the other box. I was able to save only 4 fish. Very upset that this happened. A lot of time was spent during the process of getting mama fish to give birth and having the fry…all was lost.

Easy to assemble. Came w/o instructions, but I figured it out. Had it in tank for less than a week. Saved 4 fry. Suction power let me down though. It fell off the glass and was free floating, 3 fry got out. I caught 2, but couldn't get the last one. That one ended up a snack for mama. Other than that it served its purpose.

This breeding box is exactly what I needed. It’s literally the perfect size, thickness, and the suction cups work great. Didn’t come with any instructions, but the few pieces that aren’t assembled are easy to assemble. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a breeding box.

I used this product for keeping Corydora fry in my main tank until they're big enough to go in their grow-out tank. I was a bit worried that the water flow holes would be too big initially, but I haven't had any escapees yet! It is a really nice size and easy to install. I absolutely love that it has the aerator-driven water-flow option. It was the reason I chose this product. It insures clean water is always circulating around my sensitive fry without causing too strong of a current. I do wish the suction cups were a little stronger, as I've noticed they bein to loosen after 2-3 days. Though it is easily remedied by squishing it against the glass anytime I do feedings. I would definitely buy this again!

Suction could be better. Directions would be nice cz there is a little plastic tube that comes with it and I'm not really sure of where to put it. You can put it in two ways. Its frustrating not knowing which way is the right way. The main thing I dont like is the air part where you connect your air pump. Mine came broke but still was able to work but it really didn't do the job so I had an air stone that fit in the cylinder and it works much better the way i have it set up.Every thing else is good. The slots in the tank are small so the fry can't get out thats the only reason it got four stars. I am housing mollies and they can't get out. The cover fits nicely you just have to watch it cz the suction isn't that could and it will slide down the tank. Check on it ever four or 5 hours or figure out a way to make it not slide down if yours has that problem. If it goes under the fry will be able to escape cz the cover has two holes.
