I loved the look and functions of this smart aquarium. With that said, I found it pretty difficult to clean. Part of the top comes off easily however there is a plastic part that is connected & non-removable. I maintain a clean tank however Algae or mold growth in the tank's silicone caused me to throw this in the trash today. I had treated the silicone as recommended but it just kept growing a black algae/mold right back. The Celsius water temp display also drove me nuts, would have preferred Fahrenheit. The various lights are really pretty but I could not fully turn off the lights, the "off" light never turned completely off, stayed a dim blue color that would flash on & off constantly. I paid $80 for this tank and it hurt to have to toss it in the trash today but not risking my fish getting sick with the contaminated silicone.

I like the concept. However, not happy with this product! They dont tell you what type of filter to use to replace the one it comes with. I only have one fish however, I am having to change the water 1-2 times a week as I would with a regular tank. I thought this one I wouldnt have to change the water so often since its "self cleaning". TWO of the pieces have stopped working properly: the tube was not working properly first and then the actual pump itself gave out after 35 days. I do not think I would recommend this tank. Its too high maintenance and quality is not good for the cost.

I have some opinions on this tank. I'm not a snob who thinks one Betta fish needs 10 gallons of whatever, so I want to start off by saying that. I've seen Bettas in small tanks, although I hadn't done it myself.I recently got back into aquariums and decided to start a 10 gallon community tank but this tank was SO cute that I had to have it, so I had my husband purchase it for me to put a betta in and maybe a snail or some shrimp to be his friends. I stand by the fact that it's a beautiful tank. I didn't get the humidifier one(y tho?) so it doesn't have the electronic screen and only has two LED colors(pink and blue) which was disappointing but not a huge deal. I got it all set up, which was easy peasy, let it cycle a few days, and headed out to find it an occupant.Idk if it's just my betta(he does seem like a bit of a buzzkill), but he seems miserable. Occasionally he will dart around a bit but mostly lies at the bottom or sleeps on the heater suction cup(sold separately). So I wanted to rearrange his things and realized that was going to be quite a task. The lid doesn't come off so you can barely fit a fish net in there. The filter seems like it's living on a wish and a prayer and the tank is built specifically for this filter. I'm not sure how I'd change it while still having a closed lid(so.. light). There aren't even filter sponge(?) replacements or cartridges. I suppose you just buy some and cut it to fit.The aeration was one of the coolest parts for me but my Betta seemed to hate it. So I just pulled the air tube off.All in all, this is beautiful and I wish they'd made it 3 gallons instead of 2.2. I'm not sure I can keep it. I'm considering putting the fish in a 5 gallon tank and using this one for shrimp and snails or maybe just plants. Please don't put a school of fish in here. At most, you can have a betta or maybe 2 guppies or 2 platys. You should not have more than 2 fish, that's pushing it. Please don't get a school of fish to put in here. Fish grow like the rest of us. When you get them, they're small. Mine can't even eat pellets yet but they'll grow and you'll need a new tank. Aside from being mean, the tank will be dirty and you'll need to clean it more. Please start making this in bigger sizes because it's gorgeous. Less focus on humidifiers and Bluetooth music and more focus on an ethical and beautiful home for fish. Also, I put a filter sponge over the filter so it didn't suck the fish up but I took it off and he's fine.

This 2.2-gallon fish tank is a great option for a small starter setup. We bought it for my son as a starter aquarium for his first pets (fish). The adjustable 3-color lighting adds a nice touch, especially since we bought glowing fish, and the built-in pump handles filtration, oxygenation, and water circulation well. The glass is clear and sturdy, and the thickened base feels solid but easy to move. It’s also completely leak-proof, which is a big plus. Setup was simple and done in just a few minutes, and the size is perfect for a few small fish. Overall, a well-designed aquarium with good features and an easy setup. It has everything you need to start your small aquarium all in one package!
