- Cut one side edge: Begin by trimming one edge of the fabric.
- Tear the vertical lines: Tear along the vertical line to adjust the width of the horizontal line to the desired size.
- Sew along the outer side of the vertical line and fabric.
- Flip and press: Flip the fabric and press the hem.
- Remove the sewing guide: Finally, remove the fishbone tape, and the neat, rolled hem is complete. The fishbone hem tape can be reused!

I love this stuff! I have always used my rolled hem foot to finish the edge of thin fabric. This makes it much easier and quicker. I found using 12” strips and placing them in serial (tail to top) was less wasteful than cutting long pieces rather than matching the length needed. This way I can continue to use the unused portion until it was all gone. I also like the little case it came in.
