Bassmaster magazine named the Comet Mino one of the 10 best bass lures of all time. Readers of Sports Afield selected the Comet Mino as their favorite bass lure. All Comet Minos are carefully airbrushed to ensure realism. Their erratic swimming action makes them appear to be a wounded bait fish.

It has a good action, the minnow is static, but it will roll as the blade spins. It's not weedless but it's pretty easy to dislodge when it gets into them so it's pretty good for around the edge of weed banks. The blade spins well even at low speed, and it casts well. No complaints at all.

Fish catchin bait I ever had. Catches bass and large crappie. Has good water action. If your not catching fish with this bait, you might as well call it a day.

I always find it interesting to read reviews on lures and how people give it ratings based on how many fish they catch. When in all reality there are numerous other factors that come into play such as the way they are retrieving, the speed, the way it was attached to the line... etc. For my personal experience on catching fish with the lure, the first time it was used it was the only lure that caught any fish while the second time I watched as fish swam up and bumped it with their nose! But, the lure looks great and has great action in the water. The quality is great and they last a long time! Its a slightly heavier lure so it lent itself to long casts! The design seems pretty good with hooks on the tail and halfway up the belly. The only downside I could even slightly suggest is the fish really doesn't swim up and down and can twist with the front spoon. I am not sure this is even a bad thing since the lure mimics an injured fish anyway.Overall, I am really happy with this purchase and will always have one in my tackle box along with the Rebel, spoons, and spinners.
