Just returned from an over seas trip. Delta lost our luggage for four days on top. Case and content survived unscathed.

I’ve returned this case because it’s too long. I wish the company made a 40” case in addition to the other two sizes because then I could use it as a carry-on. I already have a 40” Sage rod tube that’s fantastic for a carry-on, but I’d like a larger case that also will hold several reels instead of carrying them separately in a backpack. The quality of the case is excellent. The best I’ve come across in a very long time. Yes, it’s expensive, but you pay for quality. Please make a 40” case.

I really like this case but had to return it due to the short carrying case strap. I was hoping to be able to carry this case over my shoulder but since the strap, fully extended, barely clips to both ends of the case it can't be comfortably carried over your shoulder.

You guys are wrong about how much this case can store. I was able to fit in MUCH MORE. 6 rods (deep dropping bent butt rod, stand up tuna rod, jigging rod, inshore rod, and 2 telescoping surf rods. Also managed to get in 6 reels, line/leader, lures, weights, and all sorts of other fishing gear and tools. My only complaint is I couldn't fit my Penn 80 STW and Electramate in there. LOL. Seriously, this is the nicest and best rod/reel travel case I have seen and durable enough to go through checked luggage without worrying about it.

I take this thing everywhere. I keep 5 rods in this bad boy and take it everywhere I go. I have an ultralight spinning rod and reel, midweight baitcast rod and reel, and heavier weight spinning rod and reel. I also have a lightweight fly rod and reel for trout and my heavier steelhead/salmon fly rod and reel in it. Holds all 5 rods I need for most applications and has held up great. I do keep the rods in socks while in the case to prevent scratching as I have more rods in it than Fishpond probably intended. Case has held up on airplanes, quads, trucks, and lots of walks through the woods. Exactly what I wanted. I got the longer case as not all my rods are travel size.

This case is terrific for transporting multiple spey rods, reels and other necessary gear. I found that it fits into many overhead airline bins and protects the gear well. It is a bit heavy but quite a secure and easy way to avoid checking and potentially damaging or losing the rods etc. I have the same case in the shorter length for transporting my 9 foot rods on other trips.
