Great product, just what I needed to finish my guitar. Easy to install and connect pickups.

Components are solid, and the soldering is top notch. They did not skip on the wires. Installation was relatively easy. I bought the in-stock SG kit for my LP and had some extra wiring to do because of shorter wires in the SG, but everything went in nicely and sounds great! The push/push knobs are a good addition vs. traditional push/pull.

The pots that come with it are cheap but they work. They feel very scratchy to turn, meaning they feel like metal rubbing on metal. They are also noisy because of this. I was able to stand about 10 feet away from the guitar and still heard the pots turning. The “Push/Pull” pots were not in fact “Push/Pull”, but were instead Push/Push, so they are not what you might be expecting. The wiring was all incorrect and came with no instructions. When I tried to wire it up, the pickups signal was very weak and the only pickup that would work was the neck pickup. There was a lot of buzzing from poor grounding on their end.All 4 of the terminals on the switch were connected together, the tone capacitor was soldered to the wrong lug on the pot, and they pots themselves where wired together incorrectly.I ended up just re-soldering everything my self, defeating the purpose of the kit being pre-wired.I would highly recommend spending the extra money on better electronics instead of going with the cheapest option.

I purchased this pre-wired kit for my Epiphone Les Paul guitar thinking it would be easier than upgrading with individual parts. But instead it turned out to be a huge pain to install. I would not recommend this kit to anyone looking to upgrade their Les Paul guitar.1) There are no instructions. This would have been particularly important with the 3-way selector switch and determining which was the ground pin as different manufactures put it in slightly different places.2) There is no explanation as to which potentiometer is for volume and which is for tone. The way it is setup on the plastic jig is incorrect and misleading.3) The shafts for the potentiometers did not match up with the holes on my guitar. It is wired up with very little wiggle room. In the end I needed to de-solder the whole kit and re-solder it again to fit – making the point of a pre-wired kit redundant!4) The kit has two long wires which are designed to be fed up to the selector switch. So this implies you should install the potentiometers first, and then the simply solder the wires onto the 3-way selector switch afterwards. However this is NOT recommended as there is very little space in the 3 way selector switch cavity to do any soldering. It will result in you trying to cram the 3 way selector switch in with a bunch of excess cables, which is not a good idea.Instead it is better to solder the 3-way switch separately with loose cables, and then feed these cables down to the main electrical cavity, and then solder them onto the potentiometers and the jack. But this kit doesn’t imply you should do it this way.I would recommend watching the video titled “How to Wire a Les Paul Toggle Switch (Using Braided Guitar Wire)” to see the correct way to do things. Other pre-wired kits pre-wire the selector switch and use a harness – that seems like a smart solution. This last point is a bit hard to explain in words – but it’s actually a big deal as the kit has essentially led you down the wrong path.On the positive side (and this is why it gets more than 1 star):- The potentiometers, capacitors and switch work fine so far and are an upgrade from my very old guitar’s stock parts.- This kit is pre-wired for 1950s Les Paul wiring, which is recommended. The frustrating experience means I now know how to wire up a Les Paul from individual parts! I realise now it’s easier than it first looks and I wish I never bothered with a pre-wired kit.

For starters, the pots move smoothly, no grinding at all. But they don’t fit in my guitar. The description says “Long shaft.” They are not long shaft. The threads should have 20mm of length before the split shaft. These only have 10mm. Another issue, instructions are not included. So I don’t know how to connect the pickups. Which defeats the purpose of a pre-wired harness.

I had this installed in a Washburn PS-7200.Got this guitar and it was a donor for a luthier-in-training. Some people should never attempt to mess with a guitar. I digress..I wanted to start fresh with something cool since there wasn't much original left on this guitar.Took this to my luthier guy who's been doin my guitar work for 3 years. Told him what I wanted. He does fantastic work. It already had a SH-11 with 14.4 output, in the bridge. I happened to have a DiMarzio DP-201 with 10.8 output, laying around so I had him install that in the neck.Got the guitar back. Plugged into an amp. Everything works as it should. The pots stuck up when activated. The only problem I have with this item is, that there isn't much resistance when operating the controls. This might be a problem for some. For me, and the price. I think I can live with it. I'm not playing out and nothing is mission critical. I took a chance on this and I think it's worth what it sells for. The last pic is the guitar after the install.
