These flex blades are a great replacement from Amazon when another red brands just are not available or you need another quality set. The paint doesn't stay on for very long, none of them do, but they get the job done cutting old steel boxes.

I use a lot of demo blades due to always hitting nails I go through them at a high rate. These are priced similar to name brand blades and they cut like name brand blades.

Great set of heavy duty blades. Very well made and sturdy. Comes in a nice container for storage as well.

The Flex bi-metal reciprocating saw blades are made from a thicker gauge steel than industry standard. This results in the blades flexing less than similar sized blades made by other brands (there is some irony in the Flex brand blades bending less). The end result is straighter more accurate cuts and the blades tend to bind less. The kit includes 5 metal cutting blades, 5 wood with nails blades and 2 general purpose blades. There is also a handy container that provides a place for storage.

Overall: Great quality universal Sawzall/reciprocating saw blades for demo-ing metal and wood with nails. Storage container is a bit 'meh,' but it's handy.I ordered these to break down some scrap and pallets for burning and disposal, and the blades work beautifully. I specifically tried to cut straight into some nails to see how the "wood with nails" blades would hold up, and they cut right through everything with no hesitation or weird "jerking" like you sometimes get with other wood/nail blades (see image). Attacking the pieces from odd angles didn't slow things down either - just hack at everything willy-nilly if you want, the blades seem to handle it with no issues. A single blade went through six pallets without slowing down, so I expect to get a decent amount of use with these. Solid quality all around. The storage container is a little tube made of really thin plastic. It serves its purpose, and it's a nice little addition if you don't have any other way to store your blades, but honestly, I would have preferred a flat-style container that lays the blades out in a more organized fashion. Still, it's an added little bonus and not an integral part of the set. The blades themselves are worth the price.

This assortment of American-made reciprocating saw blades came in a blister package but includes a handy cylindrical, screw-top clear plastic carrying case which I found useful. My reciprocating saw is powerful and can be hard on inferior blades. These blades are obviously crafted to withstand heavy cutting and demolition use even when cutting nails and other metallic materials. This assortment ranges from a large, thick, nine-inch blade, big enough to quickly slice through tree limbs and heavy lumber to one of the thick but skinny six-inch blades that will fit into tight places. For slicing through plastic and sheet metal, I prefer thinner blades, but for tough demolition jobs these tough blades do a better job.

First thing I would say about these blades is they don't come in a storage container. The blades themselves are decent to use but obviously I'm not using them all at once so I have a whole bunch of blades that become nearly impossible to store in an organized fashion. Other metal reciprocating blades I have purchased usually come in a container that allows them to be easily stored in an organized fashion so you can get one blade at a time.As far as the blades performance, they are fairly smooth on aluminum but dull quicker on steel. With only a 12 count for this price it's a little more expensive than some other brands however I do think these last a little bit longer than some other Chinese ones I've ordered. If they fix the storage option I would order them again.
