About this item

  • High Efficiency Conversion: Our solar panels use monocrystalline cells. Monocrystalline solar cells have a relatively high photoelectric conversion efficiency, which can reach about 20% - 25% under standard test conditions. This means that it can convert solar energy into electrical energy more efficiently, and compared to some other types of solar cells, such as polycrystalline silicon or amorphous silicon, monocrystalline silicon solar trickle chargers can generate more electricity for charging under the same lighting conditions.
  • Battery Savior: Our solar panel is designed to charge and maintain 12V rechargeable batteries.Trickle charging is a slow charging method. When the power of the battery being charged is low, the charger first charges quickly with a large current. When the power is close to full, it automatically switches to trickle charging mode. At this time, the charger charges the battery with a small and stable current to replenish the power loss caused by the battery's self-discharge, maintain the battery in a fully charged state, and avoid damage to the battery caused by overcharging.
  • Wide Compatibility: Our 12V solar trickle charger is equipped with interfaces for 0-ring, alligator clip, cigarette lighter and OBDII to meet the charging needs of your different battery devices.Use it to charge and maintain infrequently used vehicles; boats; outdoor electronics; lawnmowers, and more. Ensure your devices start anytime and protect batteries from long-term discharge. It’s also ideal for off-grid devices like electric fences; gate openers; water pumps; weather systems; cameras; etc. Compatible with most battery likes sealed lead-acid; lithium; LiFePO4; GEL; AGM; flooded; etc
  • Safe Charging Mode: The solar panel contains a built-in controller that prevents overcharging. The controller automatically stops charging when the battery is fully charged and resumes charging when the voltage drops. Our solar panel system will not drain your battery.
  • Why choose solar trickle charger: Solar energy is green and free . For example, the car installed comsumable devices like monitor and alarm system, they will drain out battery even don't drive car. That's why after long time sitting your car can't start. It's prior funciton is prevent vechile's battery from draining out and maintain battery. Not for full charge your battery

I'm very happy with this charger. The panel is big enough to capture a good amount of energy, components are well built, and it does what it's supposed to in terms of maintaining a battery. Recommended.

This is the perfect size solar panel to keep my boat battery topped up if it sets for awhile. Something was slowly depleting the battery and caused several bad days on the water. It's useful for long storage times, and long days on the water playing loud music. This panel provideds just enough extra power to keep the fun going without having to remember to start the boat motor every so often to recharge it. I haven't had a dead battery yet.

I've been using this solar battery maintainer to keep my RV in to-go shape while it's in storage, and it's worked out fine so far. The first thing I noticed was how thin the panel is, which makes it easy to position just about anywhere, including in front of the sunshade! The small controller on the back doesn't add any bulk, and the installation process was straightforward. With multiple adapters included, I had no trouble finding the right connection (I just use the 12V lighter plug as my RV has a connector that doesn't turn off with the ignition), and the suction cups made it easy to stick it against a window.I primarily use it for my RV when it's stored for an undetermined period (days to maybe weeks), and it's been a reliable companion. The maintainer is a bit low on features, though: it doesn't have a USB charging option or a wattage indicator, which would have been nice additions. However, its operation is as simple as it gets—just connect it and forget it. There's nothing to set or adjust, which is perfect for someone who prefers a no-fuss solution. One thing I did notice is that it seems a bit sensitive to cloudy weather. On a slightly cloudy day, I only got about 4 Watts out of it, which is 20% of its capacity. Meanwhile, my rooftop solar panels were functioning at 75% capacity at the same time. Still, for my needs, it does the job well enough, keeping the battery from draining completely.Overall, it's a straightforward and inexpensive tool for maintaining my RV's battery.

This solar panel battery trickle charger is the right size for its intended purpose. The panel itself weighs 20.5 ounces. It is a rectangle measuring 16 inches by 12 inches. It is small enough to be mounted to the inside of almost any window in a vehicle using the four provided suction cups. In bright sunlight at 15 degrees Fahrenheit, it has an open circuit voltage of 19.8 volts DC (VDC). Please see the first two pictures with this review. So, this panel will work in cold weather. It will produce a trickle charge for the battery. The wiring is adequate for the amount of power that this panel will produce. Almost everything needed for mounting this panel on a vehicle has been provided in the kit package. Please look at pictures three and four. Probably the only items that would need to be added to this kit are small bungee cords and an SAE extension cable. The cable that is attached to the panel is 68 inches long or four feet eight inches and it has an SAE connecting terminal at the end of it. You may need an SAE extension cable. My preferred way of using a panel like this would be to hook it directly to the vehicle battery. However, that may not always be possible perhaps due to security concerns. It could be possible to charge the battery through the cigarette lighter outlet or the accessory power outlet as it is now commonly referred to. Is the cigarette lighter outlet directly connected to the vehicle battery or is it controlled by the ignition switch? Does the cigarette lighter work when the vehicle is off? If so, then you could connect this panel to battery by way of the vehicle wiring through the cigarette lighter. There is an option to charge the battery by way of the check engine connection plug, but I am very uneasy about that option. This is a five-star product. The panel is the right size to be mounted to any window. The packing box that it comes in. is itself useful. I would reinforce the box with additional tape and keep the panel in the box. The Styrofoam packing in the box could be given additional storage slots for various bungee cords and/or an SAE extension cord.

This solar panel is marketed as a “Battery Charger Maintainer Kit,” “ specifically designed for car trickle charging.” I have used it as an electric fence battery charger on a fence line. It has been installed for only 5 days, but seems to be doing the job. As the listing states, this is a 20w,14.4v (max) solar panel. There is a built-in charge controller, but the specifications do not say if it is a PWM or MPPT controller. Instructions do not state it, but with this charging voltage, this is apparently only for SLA, Gel or flooded batteries, NOT any Lithium variations. This has something I have never seen before on a solar trickle charger, an OBDII adapter to backfeed the battery system. I will have to research if this is recommended or not. I appreciated the variety of additional cables and adapters that were included in the kit. The output cable is terminated with a SAE connector, which will allow for many adaptations and made up terminations. The panel itself is a typical sealed unit, with an output adapter on the back. I confirmed that the unit was putting out 14.2vDC to a 12v 23Ah SLA with a 70% charge state at 10am on a cloudless West Texas morning. So it is living up to the specs in the manual. My one concern is the conductors. These are listed in the manual as 22AWG and 24AWG. 20w @14.4vDC is relatively low current (1.388a). Most sources place ampacity for 24 AWG at or near this ampacity rating. (U.S. NEC charts only go down to 14AWG. Ampacity at @ 24 AWG must be calculated.) I am uneasy with such small conductors. Because the controller is sealed, there is no way to (easily) open it up and replace the conductors with larger gauge wires. I view this as manufacturing at the lowest allowable level, with little safety margin. I consider this a relatively major deficit to an otherwise nice little panel.
