This mold is really good. It made the best mini roses for a mini Valentine’s Day gift-ette for my co-workers. Chocolate covered marshmallow mini roses! So cute!

These are the perfect size for making small sugar or honey candies! My purpose was to purchase these for making honey "lumps" for tea. The honey part of this experiment is being a pain, but the silicone molds are amazing! They're the perfect size for a "sugar cube" type purpose, they're really pretty, and the silicone is super flexible for easy mold release.Every other mold I could find was too large, aimed towards confections and cake decorations. This one, though, this one is perfect. Everything about it is perfect. For candy, chocolate, whatever your project these will be great.Silicone is slightly porous and does tend to absorb odors and flavors (and colors) from the stuff it touches. I recommend using only a single type of candy per mold, otherwise you could end up with honey-flavored chocolate or chocolate-flavored butterscotch. The intricate design of the petals in this mold may hold air bubbles. The more liquid your material the less of a problem that will be. For thicker, more viscous materials you may want to paint the material into the mold with a toothpick or something to prevent bubbles. On the honey note - if you're trying to avoid pasteurizing the honey, it can take a LONG time to dehydrate. And bubbles can be a problem. If you're OK pasteurizing or cooking the moisture out, both of those issues would go away. In the photos the darker candies were pasteurized and you can see they have fewer bubbles and they hold their shape better. But of course they are darker and taste like store-bought honey rather than raw honey. None of this has anything to do with the molds, which are PERFECT, it's just the difficulties of working with honey.

Worked well to make roses for my daughter’s Birthday party. It took practice and dusting of corn starch, but we got the hang of it!
