1.Start by attaching the spring to the screen. Once the spring is hooked on three wires, position the screen over the vent cover.
2.Thread the other spring end through the vent cover using the provided tool. Make sure the spring grabs hold of the vent crossbars.
3.The spring will grab the vent cover from inside and hold the screen in place.

The RV we own is nearly 30 years old and is in excellent condition. The only challenge was the refrigerator screen configuration did not exactly match the refrigerator vent openings. We have a well-equipped home shop so we were able to trim the screens to fit and add screwing in hand to fill the gaps. The supplier sent more than an adequate number of zip ties to attach the screens. We watched YouTube videos to find out how to install the screens for the water heater cover, no printed or pictorial instructions were provided. Once installed, all screens were solidly attached, we were very satisfied.

This item was two insect screens for the water heater and the furnace and three for the refrigerator vents. The refrigerator ones fit perfectly and were an easy on. The water heater screen fits ok, but the furnace screen was just a bit too small. Water heater and furnace were kind of hard to put on, tough trying to get that itty bitty spring to hook on to the camper. All in all, they worked for my application.

Installed July 2021 and still in place on trailer. One on refrigerator grill will need to replace ty-raps every few years. Screen on water heater attached to cover instead of exhaust grill to be able to open cover without having to remove screen every time. It is a pain to hook the springs on.

You need patience to install these, since hooking it to the vent through the screen isn’t very easy, but they’re great once they’re on. I used tiny cable ties for the refrig screens, 2 springs each for the rectangular screens and one spring for the circular screen. After one year, they still look new and haven’t budged during travel. Pricey, but very good product.

Disappointingly....with no install directions at all provided ... reqd researching and addl purchase.Plus unlike other purch options...these refrigerator vent screens arrived with no means to install.Again required having to go online to learn what is required to install... aka tiny zip tiesThereby having to drive to town to buy a multiple package of small zip ties to utilize the 6 for installation.
