If the switch does not work:

  1. Turned off the car.
  2. Unplug the new switch and reinsert it again.

The switch that was in my 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500hd had lost the covering over the lighted push buttons. This is a perfect replacement and is easy to replace. Works and looks like OEM. Very satisfied.
