The portion that goes into the column is manufactured backwards. If you look carefully, the rounded edge should be facing the driver, but, in this case it is not. This will not work in any GM column that I know of. essentially they "mirrored" the design when they copied the design. It's unfortunate because it's a nicely made handle but completely useless. If inserted in the correct way, the S shape would be away from the driver and the handle will hit the dash.In the picture, the handle on the screen is how it should be made, while the handle next to it that I'm holding is what this is. note the difference.

Vehicle has imperial threads, parts will not install, have contacted seller about problem, they asked for more details, no reply since then. DO NOT BUY any item like this without confirming that it has EXACTLY the correct threads for your car.

These are chrome plated and that makes the shifter arm too tight to slide in the opening in the column.A little filing on either part and it slips right in.

The shifter lever won't fit a 79 Trans AM. The shifter lever is too wide for the hole.It also had scratches on it.
