Love the efficiency and the price of this bit. We are repeat buyers as we have two Weims with nails that grow faster than our own!

I have large dogs and when I grind their nails there are often sharp edges left. They don't really care for having their nails done so I thought I would try these grinder heads.First I grind them with regular sandpaper tool then I smooth them out with this one.So far I like them very much.

I purchased this Grinding Head to replace the sandpaper loop grinding wheel that came with my Dremel Model 7300-PT, battery-powered, rotary nail trimmer (a far superior tool over the old-fashioned scissor-type clippers). My dogs aren't too crazy about having their paw nails trimmed, but they'll tolerate it as long as I do it quickly and don't grind into the quick. This metallic-stone grinding head simply works faster and more smoothly than the original sandpaper type, plus I expect it to be more durable. I don't really use the indented cup at the end of the wheel, as I believe this is mainly for small dogs, as I can do the job well enough on my dogs' nails just using the head's main side-surface.

I’ve been using a Dremel to do my dog’s nails for something like 20 years, using the cardboard sanding drums, which have to be replaced more often than I get around to it. Color me ignorant, but I had no idea specific dog nail sanding bits are a thing. This diamond bit is something else! As others have mentioned, it runs cooler and boy, Howdy does it grind more quickly. I find using the sides work better on my 50 lb dog’s nails than that end cup, but am still getting used to the New Order. If you’re considering this, get one already!
