This is a great upgrade, easy install, and looks fantastic. Keeps the hood tight, no rattling, no hood movement. Has a bit of adjustability within the screw holes. Once you remove the old mount, clean and then wax the area (easier to when the hinges are removed). Comes with two plastic mounting plates-one for the JK and one for the JL. I used the removed nuts because they have a flat base like a washer.After several hundred miles and several off road adventures everything is still nice and tight.

Have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler and the existing rubber hood latches were getting a little tired so thought I would give these a try. Previously I had tried to replace them with a different set off Amazon but they really didn't fit right.This set however fits great. If you haven't attempted this in the past, it is a little challenging to get to the nuts that hold the lower latch on. I was able to get them started with my fingers and squeeze a socket back in there (13MM) but it might be easier to take the front grill off.Regardless, once installed they look pretty good. They are "large" compared to the OEM set so be prepared for that. Given they are aluminum and thinking stainless steal for the screws and nuts so I don't expect it to rust. Worse thing I think will happen is the black powder coating might chip. The way it is designed there is not contact of the latch to anything painted so that is good.My main problem with this though not something you can't overcome:1) Does not come with any instructions. The description does give some hints but nothing in the box (take note their a several silicone pads and you need to look for the writing JK vs JL and use the appropriate one)2) Does not come with washers. Generally speaking, a nut when screwing against painted metal should have a washer. Luckly, I had a couple stainless steel washers that fit.Even with above issues, I would still get again if you like the design and/or you need/want to replace your existing hood latches.
