I use this on a 1988 3 cylinder 80 horsepower Mercury 2 stroke. As others have said this is a well made tool, you could definitely get multiple uses out of it. Threaded into the flywheel perfectly. I put a little Grease on the shaft and the nut so it would have a little lubrication. The flywheel was a little stuck with this tool I was able to get it off. If your purchasing any of the components under the flywheel I would highly recommend the purchase of this tool.

Removing the flywheel was a doddle with this tool. Perfect.

I was a bit nervous, but ultimately my willingness to "make it work for cheaper" drove to me to buy this tool. It looked like there was a little girlie bolt in the center of the tool and I was concerned that this might be "get what you pay for" scenario. I WAS WRONG. This dude is cheaper and the material is robust and the middle bolt is beefy, it took me seconds to use this to remove the flywheel effortlessly. I used a 1/2" DeWalt impact and the socket was a 15/16ths (I used a deep well socket but, it isn't required) much better to save whatever money you can for these boats where you can right? BUY THIS it is not a cheap turd tool

Worked great, no issues on my 2003 Mercury bigfoot 2 stroke 60HP. No need to buy the crazy expensive Mercury brand fly wheel pullers, this worked perfect.

This flywheel worked perfectly for pulling the flywheel on my 1978 Mercury 200hp Blackmax outboard. You must remove the flywheel to replace the stator and/or trigger and this tool was just the ticket. I removed the nut from the driveshaft holding the flywheel on, then placed the spacer over the top of the driveshaft; next screwed the large cylinder part of the tool into the flywheel until hand tight (can use a wrench if you need to), then tighted down the nut on top of the cylinder with a 15/16 socket attached to an impact drill. Definitely recommend going right to an impact hammer/drill for this part. It would be VERY difficult to hold the flywheel while you tightened the nut with a regular socket wrench. Then the flywheel popped right off and I could easily get to the stator and trigger for replacement. Great price on a tool that feel solidly built and can be used multiple times over the years. Highly recommend it!

Haven't used it yet but it does fit the threads on the fly wheel.Hope it is strong enough to hold when I lift the engine with it.

Works well but the bolt isn’t quite long enough. I had to put a few washers inside the puller to get the flywheel off. Other than that, it was cheap and it has held up well to use.
