Exceeds all expectations. After first installing, admit I was a bit underwhelmed but decided to allow tubes to warmup for a while. Well a day passed before I put the phones (B&W) back over my ears. Wow, could not believe the warm velvety smooth sound.

Considering just how expensive tube amps can be, this is a total steal and I am very happy with it. The amp felt well made with a metal housing I assume is aluminum, and the on/off switch felt sturdy and It feels great to flick it on and feel like your in the cockpit of a plane for a moment. I use the Hifiman HE-X4s which are headphones with a 300ohm impedance and this amp powers them very nicely with a little bit of headroom left. The tubes could of been made a little but higher quality as I noticed that a few of the pins on the bottom were bent and I had to bend them carefully back into place. As for the dial, it feels nice and refined to turn which is accompanied by a delicate clicking feel so you can tune it precisely. I love this amp and I will definingly be buying from this brand again soon.

I bought the upgrade GE tubes bundle. FOSI says they match them. It took about 3 hours of continuous playing music for the combination of this headphone amp with my Sennheiser 650 phones to sound very, very good.Excellent bass, sweet mids, and nice non-brittle highs. This is a keeper! Great value IMHO for $75.However I did NOT like the sound with my 32 ohm Grado Gold phones. The highs sounded a bit brittle and the mids a bit screechy. To be fair, the only headphone amp I ever found that sounds good with the Grados is a high current Class A Centrance headphone/dac.But with the Senns, this amp sounds fabulous!

The Fosi Audio P2 headphone amplifier brings it. The Fosi Audio P2 hybrid tube/solid state headphone amplifier packs a lot of audio enjoyment in a very small package. I auditioned the P2 (with the provided pair of 6K4 tubes) using a variety of headphones and the P2 never disappointed.[Update: I also auditioned the Fosi Audio P2 using a matched pair of 5654W tubes sold by Fosi Audio. I listened to Sennheiser HD-497 (32 Ohm), HD-560S (120 Ohm) and HD-600 (300 Ohm) headphones with the Fosi Audio P2. With each of these headphones the Fosi Audio P2's sound quality improved in one or more areas of audio reproduction when using the 5654W tubes. The gain level was slightly higher with the 5654W tubes than with the 6k4 tubes.]The Fosi P2 provided plenty of distortion free audio gain for most any headphones. There was no noise or hum audible in my listening to the P2. There is plenty of bass, natural sounding vocals, and clear treble. This is good detail. (The sound can no doubt be be improved beyond what the P2 can provide but not for anywhere near the price.)The Fosi P2 has no bass, treble or balance controls. This actually a good thing as it helps keep the cost to a minimum. If you use a WiiM device for music streaming the WiiM Home app's audio controls (including EQ) have these functions covered. My Sennheiser HD497 (32 Ohm) headphones (recently refurbished with new ear pads) have never sounded better than when plugged into the P2. My favorite HD600 headphones (300 Ohm) sound very good when driven by the Fosi P2. I recently acquired a pair of Sennheiser HD560S headphones (120 Ohm) and this combination also sounds great with the P2.I found little to fault in the P2. The volume control, with its micro detents, feels good when moved. The power switch seems a little less robust but does its job. I had need to contacted Fosi Audio Customer Support and their customer support representative was very responsive to my questions.I am considering purchasing a second Fosi Audio P2 headphone amplifier as part of a Streaming in a Shoebox project. I'm thinking of bundling a Fosi Audio P2, a WiiM Mini and my refurbished and under used Sennheiser HD497 headphones together and gifting these to get a friend started in streaming audio. Perhaps you have some perfectly fine headphones sitting around too. Maybe there is someone you know who is currently listening to BT audio; meanwhile you're thinking, if only they could hear what I hear.Source: Spotify Connect using WiiM music streamers (Mini and Pro Plus).

I was looking for something small (portable) that I could use with my laptop, streamer or other audio equipment. I wanted to try something at a good price and decided to try the Fosi brand that I have had experience with before. Unlike P1 and P3. The P2 is an amplifier dedicated to headphones only. It has 2 inputs, RCA and 3.5 with a selector at the back. You can use it as a pre amp, as I did by using its headphone output to the V3 input. The packaging like everything FOSI, very well done. The tubes came with some pins that were somewhat bent, this is something that should always be checked before installing them. Something that Fosi's QA must inspect. However, they were fine. Let the P2 warm up for a few minutes before using it. This is something common with tubes to have full performance. I love the volume knob, it feels like mechanical micro clips, it feels quality well done Fosi. At the same time, it is powerful, loud. The Bass is massive, Heavy. I definitely need to try other headphones that can handle the heavy bass of the P2. The Tubes give body to the music and strong bass. Something I noticed it is silent. There is no noise, something that is usually noticed with Tubes. Something I didn't like very much was the location of the headphone output. It is very close to the volume and for people with large fingers, it is annoying when raising or lowering the volume. Fosi should think about changing to a larger knob or moving the position. I would recommend an elongated knob. Although P2 is not a pre like P1 or P3. I connected it to V3. Wow, the sound of the V3 changed. The Tube definitely softens the Class D amplifiers. Music sounded "alive". Well, if you want something affordable, fun to use, good quality, with opportunities for upgrades (tube rolling) the P2 is what you need. As FOSI's slogan says "HIFI MADE FUN", YESSS!

Good build quality, looks fantastic and sounds fantastic BUT I just had one side randomly not work I unplug the headphones plug back in nothing but once I turned it off and back on it was fine hopefully this isn't foreshadowing a near future failure. Thank god this amp was cheap.
