Neighbor has a 1996 Saturn SL2 that I have been keeping on the road for the last 10 years because other shops either do not want to work on it or do not fix it correctly. My neighbor complained that the ac was blowing hot. Check the system to see if it had freon. It had the correct amount. The low side pressure was correct, but the high side pressure was low. This is a sign that the expansion valve was faulty. Checked locally and it would take two days to get and was twice the price for the same brand expansion valve. Ordered from Amazon. Came quickly and the part was identical to the OEM part I was replacing. It had the correct orings. The ac nows blows very cold again. Since the expansion valve is located on the firewall behind the engine, I remove the throttle body to gain more access and then it takes about five minutes to change out as opposed to fighting trying to fight getting the bolts out installed the part in June 2022 and it is still working great.Quality part, fast delivery.

Changed this on my 99 Saturn with 263 k on the clock, evacuated and charged system. Works perfectly, you can have cold ears in the Texas sun at 103 degrees.

Installed it today! Comes with Seal Rings/O rings. Looks and fits the same way my old part did! No trouble at all.

So far it is working since my AC now works. This part came with the wrong size o-rings - 4 o-rings all the same size even though the holes are different sizes. Maybe I should have got the AC Delco professional part at 2x the price.

Worked great just that for less than a year constant use in hot Florida. Eventually leaked from seal covered by a rubber cap. Slow leak. However, part was warrantied.
