I like the feeling of this backrest because it's pretty thick. I don't think it's too thick so as to get in the way of a passenger, not that I often have one on this bike, but I do like that it's a thick piece of foam underneath the vinyl and I can really bury my lower back into it without hitting anything metal or uncomfortable.Installation is easy because it bolts to the existing hardware down through the gap in the original saddle, and whatever similar gap exists if you have an aftermarket like a Corbin, but probably if you're getting this you have an original saddle. I had to remove the saddle to get it securely attached and it works out fine because also the height needs to be adjusted with included hardware - pretty good range of height for a backrest seat. The steel is thick and doesn't give more than normal - just enough that it's not harsh, but not so much that it would ever bend. It has a nice powdercoat finish on it and doesn't look cheap. But it is a very good value, I think, and I plan on enjoying it for many years in comfort.

This back rest is made very well and the exterior is quality material. This fits very well and is a plus for any rider. Great price, recommend!

There aren't a lot of options for driver's backrest with a solo seat but this is one said option. It does sit a little higher than most of the others available and that is a good thing as it sits higher on the back and in a better position for the lumbar.

Overall very well made product! Impressed with the quality. I think there was a misunderstanding, under impression this could be raised and lowered however that is not the case. This only can be adjusted forward and backward.Not an easy/ quick install, it does take time, there's a bit of am inconvenience in the way it's made due to unable to raise/ lower.

Admittedly, I am disappointed that this isn't working on my '13 Ultra Classic as it seemed to address the problem of my existing back rest, namely to give a little more adjustable support to sit an inch closer to my handlebars (without having to do a whole bar job).There are three issues for my installation:(1) While the mounting bracket fits within thw 2-up seat itself, the padding is too thick to fit within the u-shaped bracket. That means there is only one "setting" where I can install it, so it's not adjustable as a practical matter.(2) The way the seat back has to slot into its bracket, it has to be done with the seat in place, and with the seat in place, I can't fit my hands under there to adjust the set screws at all, so it just kinda sets in the bracket in the one setting where it fits. So, yeah I have been able to ride with it and it does hold about as well as my old one, but still farther back than I prefer and it's not screwed down properly.And,(3) Even being partially installed the way this is, it isn't setup for a quick-change. When I ride with my wife, she is more comfortable when I don't have a seat back in place, so the ability to snap it in an out easily is a high value to me. Even notwithstanding the other two issues, this really is designed to be a semi-permanent installation rather than to swap around on a daily or weekly (even monthly) basis. Frankly, that makes accessing the battery more complicated as well ... especially in an emergency situation after dark for instance.It seems others are having better luck with this part than I have, so just consider your situation carefully.

This actually fits my 2008 street glide even though it says only 2009 and later. It is much more comfortable, especially on long runs. It is a good value compared to others. It looks great on my bike too.

The quality is top shelf for sure. I was unable to find an OEM backrest that would fit my CVO. This fits perfectly and the price is great.
