I took some bending but I got this to work in the "articulating mullion" for the GE GNE25JSKBFSS. Much cheaper than replacing the whole flap.Edit:This eventually broke and I found a better option for this model, one that took less effort to bend into shape.

The spring in our GE fridge french door broke. GE Fridge Model #GNE25JSKKFSS. I tried three different springs and THIS is the one that works. I hope this review helps you if you have the same fridge I have. GE will NOT send a spring, they will only sell you the entire 'mullion' for $150!!!! So glad I found this one that works.

Just cut off the extension mounts about 3 MM to match the original spring which is not being made by GE.

It wasn't exactly the correct angle and length, but I was able to clip the excess and bend the loop to and try to match the existing. It works as intended but if you do not get the bend correctly it will rub against your inner door a little. Just like everyone else, the spring was not available through GE. Without this spring the fridge would be leaking air straining the fridge to maintain the temp. If yours is broken, fix it asap to prevent other components from failing.

I had tried two other GE branded mullion springs, but both had their right angles too far from the coil, making the coil foul against the door. To make those work properly, I would have to remove some plastic from the area to give the spring enough room. This one works without rubbing.Needle-nosed pliers were necessary to get it into place, and I may have cut one leg of the spring to get it in more easily.gne25jmkbfes
