This leak stop valve does exactly what it says it does. Please keep in mind that this only shuts off the water supply to the filtration system. You may want to add a second one to the output of your water storage/pressure tank.

Did not include the clips shown in the picture. My RO system had some spare 3/8ths clips but they feel a little too small. They never really clipped. I was able to install it though and it doesn't leak. The sticky pad is a small square and doesn't seem to hold it in place. I was able to get the tension from the input tube to push it down but I have no confidence it will stay in place.I am installing it on a silicone pet water bowl mat and don't want to screw holes in the mat. I was hoping the stick pad would hold it down. It does not.I should have taken a picture before I installed it, but if you look down the input hole you can see spring that helps it operate. All of the water that goes through this will pass over the metal spring. I'm using this in RO system for drinking water and I'm it sure how I feel about the drinking water flowing over a spring made out of some unknown metal.I have no way of testing if this will really stop the water without risking damage to my RO system. I tested by closing the valve and trying to blow through the input hole. I could not blow though it, so I assume it would stop the water.Overall, I will likely return this and have already purchased a $20 battery operated shutoff valve that is higher rated and that Amazon said people usually purchased with this.

I ordered this 2 times thinking my kid was playing with the clips and lost them. Apparently it just doesn’t come with the clips! Returned both!! I’d give a zero if I could.

you can easily blow through this when it is fully wet.I have tried several of these cloth-expanding valves. None of them works well.

Got this only for the expansion material “tablets” since it was one of the cheaper options for the Express Water RO system. When they arrived, I realized that the expanding “tablets” were slightly too big to drop into the holder for the express water version shutoff valve. Not the end of the world because I just switched out the valve, but it might be worth noting.

After installing the system, we're adding some notes that may be helpful to potential buyers. Overall, this looks like the right product for us. Good water, fits our under-sink area, provides good amounts of water on demand. Below are some general comments (in letters) and then some comments (in numbers) on what might not be obvious from the online descriptions. First some installation and general first impressions:A) The water looks and tastes great. Water has a little air in it when first poured, but it goes away quickly and is very clear. B) Installation was as good or better than other RO that we've installed. Lots of optional 1/4" elbows and tubing. C) The ways that the tubing connect into the system as well as the other included connectors/adapters worked perfectly. D) The system has some slight hum from the motor when pouring water, but nothing at any other time. E) The installation manual is just ok, but you only need it once! Some comments on what is not obvious online: 1) The system seems smaller in the pictures than it really is. They are clear on the size and do not hide anything, but It is pretty big and a challenge to get under a crowded sink. 2) Needs electricity under the sink. Many other RO systems are passive and do not need to be plugged in. 3) The manual says that the water faucet (RO water) has to be turned on all the way - you can't turn it on to add just a small trickle of water to, say, a cup of flour for baking. In our experience, it seems to work fine if you need just a little for a couple of seconds (but the manual says not to do this). 4) In addition to being bigger than expected, there is a another separate alkaline remineralization filter which adds another piece to the things under the sink - and it's big, too. OVERALL: A person should be clear that the remineralization, low waste-water, and active Total Dissolved Solids metering is worth the much higher price. So far, it was the right choice for us!

The valve itself leaks (maybe I got a defective item). Tried multiple times to get it work but the valve itself kept leaking. Finally gave up and removed the valve altogether, ended up in the trash..Had to purchase a 3/8" to 3/8" connector from the local home store to reconnect the inlet water to the RO system.. Would give it zero stars... love the RO system... but this valve is not worth the hassle.
