The angle set bearings are much smoother than previous ball bearing headsets. Not only that they are much easier to install. If you are in a pinch and have a dumbbell weight with removable weight plates this can be used to install a headset. Just go slowly, ensure you maintain proper alignment and support your front wheel/fork assy. Tighten slowly until you see no spaces and stop prior to the headset binding from over tightening.

Easy to install, anodizing is durable, bearings are very smooth. Zero issues quality has been Excellent. Massive upgrade from the slimline/crane creek/aheadset randomness that came on my bike

Installed on an older 2004 Specialized Rockhopper. I really prefer sealed bearing headsets so finally bought one for this older bike. I have a Cane Creek S2 headset on another bike and it's a bit better quality, but this FSA one has sealed cartridge bearings, and installed fine. The crown race that goes on the fork looks to be aluminum. I haven't installed that yet as I bought a new fork that arrives tomorrow. Once I get it fully together and some rides in I'll update this review.Update as of 8/15/18. I've got a few rides now with this installed. It's super smooth and zero issues.

Working great. Install was pretty straight forward. Cartridge bearings are super smooth. The top cup has a nice cover ring that acts as a seal, much nicer and more durable than the cracked plastic o-ring that was on the headset I was replacing.
