Everything was good except the sticky backing was difficult to peal off before application. In some products like this there is a little tab to start the peal which was NOT on this product. I finely got ok as using a exacto knife to get it started.

I picked up a commercial refrigerator for my Home Bar. It was a little noisy compared to the Dorm like refrigerator.I installed these and it cut the noise down by about 50%. Very happy with the results. The material is thick and very dense. It was easy to work with and the self-stick is very strong. Reasonably priced.

I have a metal exterior door in my office, and since I live in a city near a train and hospital, I constantly hear the train, sirens, cars honking, and other outside noises coming through it. The metal door even seems to amplify and echo the sound. I bought a set of these panels to attach to both the inside and outside of the door. Twelve panels fit perfectly on the door, leaving about 3–4 inches of space on all sides. This has dramatically reduced the outside noise entering the room and completely eliminated the echoing and amplification effect of the metal door, making the remaining sounds much more tolerable. The only issue was putting them up. I initially used double-sided Duck brand poster tape, which stuck to the door perfectly, but the panels would fall off after a day. I ended up supergluing the tape to the panels, and they haven't fallen off after a week, so that did the trick. I'm sure I could block out even more noise if I took the time to cut the panels to size to completely cover the door as well.

Firstly, I like these tiles. They look cool with the beveled edge and they were super easy to work with. They are light but stiff and cut easily with a utility knife. That being said, they really don't do much for sound suppression. They reduce echo a little but if you are looking for a real sound deadening solution, these aren't nearly enough. I installed them in my laundry room on top of 4 other layers of sound insulation as a finishing touch to cover up my work and get at least some extra protection at the same time.Again, they are super cool but definitely manage your expectations around what level of sound dampening they will provide. If you need to reduce a lot of noise you'll need to pair these with a more hardcore material.

I am a voice actor and vocalist, working out of a very small closet booth. One of the hardest things to do in such a tiny booth (especially working on video games and animation) is be able to balance speaking and yelling parts in audio due to the massive amounts of reflection happening in a small enclosed space. There's just way too much sound bouncing around, and you need to deaden things as much as possible on all areas of the room without boxing yourself in even more.Though I already had quite a bit of sound treatment via blanketing and thick Rockwool panels on the ceiling and behind the microphone, there was still a significant amount of reflection happening inside my booth. It made it very difficult to project my voice without clipping.Determined to finally resolve the issue, I purchased a 48 pack of these to cure the problem once and for all. By doubling up these panels with hot glue, it makes a dramatic difference in absorbing the free reflections in my tiny booth and have helped me attain pro-level audio. These panels are very dense, and really do the trick in dampening. The difference is literally night and day. If needed, I would from F-Stop again!

Very happy with these soundproofing tiles as they are very stylish for the price paid and actually muffle the sound but don't completely soundproof it to the completely quiet level but still very satisfied. Fast shipping also.

I purchased a set of your grey acoustic tiles and some 3M double sided foam tape over a year ago. I never had any problems. The tiles stayed on the wall. I decided to add a bit more, and this year I ordered 2 new sets, this time adding 12 black, and 12 red. I purchased the exact same 3M tape, only this time, the tiles will not stay up on the wall. I know it is not my wall, because it is clean, and the other 12 stay put. I only used 4 3M tape pads on those. This new batch, I am using 5, 6 and even tried 7 - and they are not sticking. They stay for a few hours, but then just fall off. For a $40+ purchase, plus the $10 3M foam tape, I can not just let it go, and I am not going to keep adding more tape as that is not the issue. No response from seller. RETURNED.

I built a sheet metal enclosure for my 4.7kw 233cc gas generator. The enclosure is on a bumper rack on my rv and about a two foot cube. This is a general purpose type of generator, it’s a open frame type, large muffler but not a silencer, so it does not have any type of noise suppression devices at all. I got 92db at 25 feet. I lined the inside of my enclosure with this product and dropped the noise level down to 78-80db but it also removed a lot of the rattling noise of a air cooled motor creates. The noise is very muffled and not harsh to the ear. I only ordered enough of this product to cover the inside in one layer. For air flow reasons, I did not enclosure the bottom of the enclosure so only five of the six sides of my enclosure has sound suppressive material installed so unabated noise is still coming from the bottom of the enclosure. I took the sound reading in my driveway, on concrete, which probably would allow the sound to reflect or bounce out and up and probably will be quieter on grass or dirt that would absorb some of the noise. I think this is a pretty harsh test for any sound suppression product and I’m very impressed and happy with the results. I don’t know if using more of the product and installing a second layer would improve lowering the noise level. I would highly recommend this product and it’s a great price.

Delivery was quick. Panels all uniform in size, well made, look good. Part of a larger project I’m doing for my music studio so I can’t say how well on their own they provide sound absorbsion Speaking close to, and directly in front of a panel, revealed a substantial difference in reverb compared to against a bare wall, so they appear to do their job. Adhered firmly to the wall using two way tape, but repositioning was still easy. I’d buy them again and consider $3/panel a reasonable cost.
