Literally installed this by myself, for the first time using a YouTube video and it worked! The mirrors actually move, both sides in all directions as it should. Keep in mind that the part is 20$ versus 100$ for the original part so yes, it feels cheap in comparison BUT you only use it a handful of times to adjust your mirror. Honestly worth every penny as the dealership tried to charge me close to 400$ for the part and installation. I recommend as an affordable alternative.

It works. The product quality is matching the price, so expect a rough operation but for the fact that it does work in spite of what Amazon said it wouldn't on my 2013 Golf, and the fact that the seller sent a replacement pronto when I determined it was a re-packaged, recycled unit, that alone deserves 5 stars. But the good nnews is that this is a rarely used knob so it is clearly better than an OEM stump.

Not as durable as oem, but also a much lower price. It's not a part a normal person puts under a lot of strain, and is also not something you generally might accidentally catch on, so it only needs to be as durable as it is.
