I admit it, I have a weakness for wine decanters. I have too many, and it’s embarrassing which is why I store most of them out of sight.I’ve got more beautiful and more expensive decanters than this one, but it is attractive enough and EXTREMELY functional. This tool is now the one I grab, it’s simply flawless! Love the drying rack, as well.

BUT the aerator feature should be sold separately. Also shape is nice BUT ver hard to drain all wine out!

This is a must have decanter for a party.It looks quite simple and elegant. Red wines definitely benefit from some aeration. And its very impressive when even a simple $20 wine tastes so much better when poured from a decanter. And its all part of the charm when drinking wine poured from a decanter!The nice thing is that it comes with all the cleaning equipment to reach inside to clean it all up nicely afterwards. Because we have very hard water, I finally rinse the inside with reverse osmosis (RO) water so that there are no water spots.

This one has it all. The decanter, the drying stand, a filter to fit into the decanter, which I feel is a great feature if you have older wines, with sediment, and a plenty long cleaning brush. It's also superbly "giftable" as it arrived in a nice box, with handles. I just wish that they hadn't packed in my least favorite material, the white styrofoam, which can crumble. Not worth a reduction in score; just wishing that they had used the black foam that many other decanters use in their packing.

There are a lot of good things about this set.1. The decanter will handle an entire bottle of wine without a problem. It's made of thin glass, but not too thin where you're afraid to use it. However, it isn't so thick that it looks cheap and clunky.2. The aerator aerates well and and really brings out subtle flavors of your wine.3. Thanks to the cleaning kit cleaning is quick and easy. The brush is flexible and can be bent to get in every part of the decanter.4. The best thing, though, is the drying stand. I've broken several expensive decanters because I couldn't find a good, stable prop to use so the decanter dries properly. The stand is this set solves the problem beautifully.

I love red wine (Malbec especially) so I already have one of these types of aerators. Maybe two...but you can never have too many! What if one breaks? The horror!This one was ordered as backup and it's beeeeeautifully curvaceous with a generous, wide base. The metal aerator forces the wine to pour evenly down the sides of the carafe, oxygenating it as it goes. The base is so wide it's perfect for allowing the wine room to breathe as it sits.It even comes with stainless steel cleaning beads and a drying stand that'll hold the carafe upside down giving it time to dry after washing.A good aerator makes a world of difference in the flavor of the wine so if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend getting one. Even if you don't drink red wine, you probably know someone who does and this would make an amazing gift!(Pepsi can is in pictures for scale.)
