Took the old out the top sprocket had snap off! Replace it with new one on top where plate screw in n to the fixer I had to cut flange off little bit to get it to fit. Screw it on and put chain back on and plug it in and it work great!

Fits very well, a good replacement for broken parts in my garage drive. Video instruction is good but missing some important issues like the alignment of the flange to allow chain cap installation. The package should also include the three screws holding the flange to the drive.

Did what it was supposed to do. No quality concerns. Instructions were not included so be prepared to research the replacement yourself. If your handy with a mechanical mind you can figure it all out on your own.

My garage door opener broke the other day a chamberlain 41A5021 from the early 2000's. It was acting funny and then stopped closing properly. I fiddled with it for a couple minutes and suddenly there was a clunk and the chain went slack. A more detailed inspection revealed that the chain gear had sheered right off the main drive shaft.Thankfully, I had the wisdom to look online to see if this was a repairable problem or if it meant I had to replace the opener entirely. That led me to this kit. It took a bit of hunting around to find out if it would work. Chamberlain's website doesn't provide much help in determining what kit works with which opener so I had to sort of open up my garage opener and look to see what I needed and then eyeball listings here on Amazon to see if I could find something that looked the same.It seems that a lot of Chamberlain and Liftmaster units use the same basic construction so there's a good chance if you have an older model, this thing will work for it.In any case, you get a whole bag of parts to fix your opener. There are no instructions in the bag, but they do have a card suggesting you go find their Youtube videos. I did that and the video did a pretty good job of showing me what I needed to do to replace the drive shaft. It took about 45 minutes start to finish (I only replaced the main shaft, not the worm gear or any of the other parts.) After replacing the chain on the new gear and adjusting it a bit, the opener works as good as new.A new opener would have cost me around 150. I fixed it myself for 20. That was totally worth it. Honestly, if you're even a little technically inclined, can follow instructions and do some minor problem solving? I'm guessing most folks could do it too. Definitely worth considering if you have the same issue I did.

Perfect replacement part for my 1999 Chamberlain. My old gear was worn out. But I thought it was easier and smarter just to replace the whole gear/sprocket with this product. It saved me installation time also. Take old out and place new in. It came with a sufficient amount of grease also to lube everything up. I didn’t need the worm gear, but I’ll save it for future use. Package came with a website for YouTube video installation. That was super useful. This saved me hundreds of dollars from buying a whole new garage door opener. Took me about an hour to install mainly because I did have an electric screw driver; had to unscrew housing by hand. Putting in the actual part only took about 5 minutes.

This is the right part for many liftmaster models. Check their website.

Watch an installation video or two on Youtube first so you know how to mark and measure the chain, and it will walk you through the installation. This kit saved me hundreds of dollars, I thought I had to get a whole new opener. Super easy to install, took about an hour but if I ever need to do it again, it will take less time. Also note you probably won't need all the pieces in this, it is a full kit and your opener is probably only in need of some of the pieces.

This kit worked out quite well, as I was not certain of which parts needed to be replaced. If you can hear your motor running, but the sprocket or chain does not move, then this kit is probably for you. Calling the professional garage door company, we were advised that a new opener was the only solution. With this kit, my are expectations are that we can enjoy another 10 years, or more, with the existing garage door opener. Great value, requiring only a few small wrenches and sockets, and about an hour of time. Be sure to read and understand your opener's instructions concerning setting the "min and max" of door travel.
