1st, the good. It's quality thicker steel and a good hand winch rated higher than the advertised weight the hoist is rated at 300lb rating, 500lb winch strength. Now the only bad so far, as I haven't used it yet. Assembling it the 2 things you may find/not find. The directions were very poor, the winch was already loaded but you need to unwind the whole roll of cable to be able to bolt it to the upper half and thread the end of the cable through the top hole and two rollers. But the biggest issue was that the bottom bar with the round end that is supposed to slide into the part that attaches to your hitch was way too big and it took me about 30 minutes of careful grinding with 2 flap disc's to get the top small enough to fit into the hitch bar so you can swivel the hoist once you have it winched up. This was probably a small problem with just a few that didn't make it through final inspection. After I got it down to size, the powder coating was completely gone so I used rust o leum and some PB silicone grease to help it from rusting. We'll see how that and the hoist it self works. Archery season is in 3 days and I will edit the review with pics after I crank up the first deer or my big generator.
