This drive belt idler pulley is the perfect replacement! The annoying cold squeal is now eliminated, also as others has mentioned the roller bearing is much thicker than OEM’s!

Fits like OEM, FYI for Ram truck the manual says 40 ft lbs torque but really its only 18 ft lbs as the bolt will snap at 40lbs.

I think idler failures are pretty common on Hemis and the grooved pulley in the upper right position was making a very loud whining noise. Seems like the noise was there since the car was new but not as loud. I replaced all three but this was the only one that was bad. This new Gates pulley had a larger diameter bearing than the original so I was happy to see the upgrade. Whine noise gone!

Ordered this, and a Continental belt, to replace the idler pulley and serpentine belt on a 2001 Mercedes E430. It installed easily and quickly and works just as well as the original did. Haven't put too many miles on it yet, only about 100 or so, but alls well so far.

Ordered this when I replaced my serpentine belt and belt tensioner on my 2001 E55.PROS -Fitment is correctAppears well madeCONS-Item is not what is pictured on the site (red interior bearing area/black outer)Does not allow for factory dust cover to be installedI confirmed via a local parts store that this part is what is offered by Gates. Parts guy says it shouldn't matter as the bearing is sealed. By the way, $10+ cheaper on Amazon than locally.So I installed it and everything is good! We'll see if there is a wear problem without the dust cap down the road.
