The Gates Cross Reference shows this belt to be the match for a SCAG PX481003, but when I got it, it was a tad short. I would guess about maybe an inch short. Nevertheless, the scag has a good amount of adjustment and I was able to get it to fit. The belt now runs a bit tight, but actually mows better. If the belt was even a fraction of an inch shorter, it would not have fit the mower at all. That said, Gates makes good belts and this one is running good without any slippage. The SCAG is a commercial mower with heavy duty bearings and shafts, but if this was a consumer mower, the higher belt tension would likely cause damage.

Gates belts are superior to any other brand I use. They are my go to belts on any project.
