All of the parts except the water pump are good. The water pump began to leak. Ordered OEM pump made in Korea to resolve the issue.

The water pump gasket is just a cheap paper gasket. I bought this kit at three times the price of the cheap Chinese knock off kits. All the other components are high quality but the gasket is junk. Do yourself a favor a favor, throw the kit gasket away and get a good one. Fel-Pro makes one.

Morals of the story:1. Do not buy a Gates timing belt kit WITH THE WATER PUMP (The WATER PUMP was no good.) If you get a good deal on their timing belt kit without the water pump, do it. Buy an OEM water pump. Use an OEM metal gasket too.2. Buy as much as you can from Amazon Prime. Their customer service is absolutely exceptional! Rarely does anything go wrong. If it does, you speak to a live person who handles your problem immediately.3. Even when a large corporation like Gates makes you jump through hoops to process a claim, don’t give up. When it’s hard to be polite because you are frustrated, try to be anyway. Maybe in the end, you’ll get some compensation for your troubles… we’ll see!

This kit was a perfect fit for our 2008 KIA Sportage. It is a complicated job, but all of the parts included were good quality. Don’t forget to order the Gates accessory drive belt since you have it off anyways. I used RTV silicone on the water pump paper gasket and allowed it to dry overnight before adding the coolant and starting. No leaks and runs great!

Worked like a charm. The water pump seems to be good quality. No leaks so far after 2 weeks of use. Good quality belt. I wish the torque specs weren't hidden underneath the plastic inside the box. I only found them after finding the specs online and finishing the job. Make sure to check the whole box!

Arrived quickly - typical for Amazon Prime! Installed Saturday September 05, 2015.Inspected everything upon arrival and before installation. Kit contains the following:Gates Timing Belt - Made in U.S.A.Gates Water Pump - Made in U.S.A.Gates T42014 Idler - Made in KoreaGates T43193 Hydraulic Tensioner - Made in KoreaGates T41040 Belt Tensioner - Made in KoreaNote: All of the Korean made items were marked the same as the originals. More than likely manufactured by the Hyundai Mobis suppliers in Korea.Gasket: Made in China. The Gates supplied unit is compressed fiber, whereas the original was fiber compressed around a metallic 'frame' for lack of a better term.Total elapsed time start to finish was about 5 hours. Took breaks to fire up the grill and watch some Alabama Football!

Great kit. Works perfectly and the installation is not ad hard as you'd think. Quality of parts is equal to oem and everything fits perfectly. No problems 10k miles later. Make sure you purchase the serpentine belt with it (gates multi-v k060790)
