The last name on the plaque is misspelled. The correct name is Van Dyke. The name on the plaque showed up as Van Dykei.

Packaging was superb. Frankly, they over did it but my item came beyond protected; have lots of my own tacky bubblewrap; no tape needed for repacking my own packages . The kerning, is well done with the lettering on the plate. I wanted it all in caps and centered which they were easily able to accommodate and evenly centered. The darkened wood stain finish on the plaque and the mallet are uniform without odd splotches. It's also smooth and not sticky as I've had some wood items completed. It's actually a LOT heavier than I expected (but not the 220 lbs as listed on Amazon); more like 2.5 lbs at most. So if you hang it up, ensure you have the hook firmly seated.The frame seems solid wood (all the weight is in the plaque itself) but the mallet itself feels very light (not an issue as this is decorative; should have taken off the "made in" sticker though). The mallet would have been even nicer if they had wrapped it in the same brass colored foil around the center circumference to give it a more grand look and provide nicer contrastUnfortunately, special characters are not possible which would have made it so much easier for what I wanted on the plaque

I bought this plaque has an achievement award for my son who has accomplished so much in his life. My husband and I thought it be a perfect gift to honor him on his birthday from us as a recognition of achievement he loves it. a beautiful memory & honor to place on his desk its well made. It's beautifully engraved and it looks just as its Illustrated. It arrived right on time. I had no problems no damages. I recommend this to anyone who's looking for an achievement award to present to someone special.
