I’ve been wanting to upgrade some of my turning tools with replaceable insert tools where I could swap out the inserts based on the job and material being use. This tool holder seems to have vastly improved the finish on my cuts and final pass as it is quite sturdy and doesn’t vibrate the way some of my brazed turning tools did. I’m quite satisfied with both the quality and price of this tool.

Product Reviewed: GBJ 5/8" MTJNR 1616H16 Turning Holder with 10pcs for $30TL;DR; 60 cutting edges; Tight fit for AXA tool holder;This is my second of these style of insert cutters. This one sports a 5/8” shank and each carbide insert provides 6 cutting edges. It took me a moment to sort out the mounting arrangement which requires the provided spacer and it’s a new system to me.For a hobbiest this is a great deal with 60 cutting edges and these inserts are big enough to sharpen but replacements of this style are one of the most economical inserts in any case.5 Stars.
