I got this to adapt to use on Can-am defender differentials as there is rarely enough room to fill it with a funnel. I got a fitting to adapt the fitting that comes with the kit and go up to screw into the differential. 75w90 or 75w140 are the weights of oil I use. Works well. Doesn't leak, even with my adapters and oil flows easy enough. Should be good for the once annual winterization you do to your water vessel. I don't know if this will withstand commercial or professional use as I don't work on these types of boats very often, but for the average joe, this will do just fine

Not a bad little pump. I know it is designed with boats in mine, but I got it to use to fill The front and rear differentials, and the transfer case on my truck. It works well for this, and makes fluid swapping easier, as I would usually be holding a gear oil bottle on as much of an angle as I could fit in order to get it pouring into the top of the differential. Differential. I also found one bottles were getting low squeezing the remainder out could be quite difficult. It's a much cleaner and simpler job now using this pump, and pumping is no worse than having to squeeze a bottle as if my life depended on it.

Got this oil pump and it works great for what I need. The pump comes with different attachments that fit my Audi perfectly, and the hose is plenty long enough to reach everywhere. Really makes changing oil so much easier than trying to use a funnel. For basic maintenance work, this little pump does exactly what it's supposed to do. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who works on their own car!

The headline is that this Gear Oil Pump worked fine for me in it's intended purpose, and came at just the right time to complete some end-of-season maintenance. And it is fortunate that I didn't need to move too much fluid, because the pump - the equivalent of a soap dispenser - doesn't move a whole lot of fluid with each activation. But again, it does the job.My own only real complaint is that the hose was somewhat kinked on arrival. It's helpful if you can apply some even, prolonged warmth to it while pulled straight. I had a similar issue with a syphon I ordered earlier in the year and had the benefit of summer sun and a black surface (hot tub cover) to place it on, and that did the trick. With this tool arriving late in the season, I was able to lay it straight in a sink (with some heavy objects to keep it straight), submerged it in the hottest water available from my tap, and left it for a while. After removing it but keeping it straight, after cooling and drying it's been good but will always be inclined to kink again if you store it too tightly wound.If you're creative, you can also find other uses for it around the house too, I imagine.

The messiest fluid change I have ever done thanks to this garbage.Firstly, the pump is too small for modern fluid containers so it doesn’t screw on. Secondly, the fill hose is connected to the pump nozzle by just a small zip tie which just blows off with pressure after two pumps, covers everything in fluid, then you don’t have a hope of getting it to remain attached ever again. Lastly, the part that screws into the prop leg is attached in such a way that to remove it after filling means turning the entire contraption several rotations while it sprays gearbox fluid all over the floor.Yes, I got the job done but the tool itself is poorly designed and it’s apparent that the designers never tried to actually use it. Awful

The tubing was fastened to the "smooth" nozzle of the pump with only a tiny zip tie. This connection failed less the 1/4 way through pumping a quart of lower unit oil into my outboard. This resulted in oil spurting out; and I had to jerry-rig my old pump with the connector to complete the operation. I ordered this pump because my old pump had a permanent fitting that was not compatible with my outboard.
