I don't use these all of the time, but, when I do, they are sure nice to have. I like the 2 different arm lengths they give you. I also like that the arms are easy to disassemble. No bolts and nuts to deal with. Gear wrench did a good job on this tool, no surprise, they are putting out some quality tools. Umm the options you have with this set are great. Need a 2jaw, covered. Need a 3jaw, covered. The quality of the kit is great. I'd recommend adding this to your box.

I haven't used them yet but I anticipate they would be great like all their products so far. I'm excited to have them on my shelf.

It took my 2008 STS V supercharger pulley off with ease.

Better than expected. Use sense in using it and you'll be fine. (Not an impact tool like all pullers)

I have been looking for a "better" gear puller for a while--one that was easy to attach, and would center itself while pulling. This design by KD Tools looks like it might be exactly what I have been searching for. I haven't had occasion to actually use it yet, but my first impression upon taking it out of the box is that the ratcheting mechanism is cheaply made, and likely to break or wear out quickly. The unit I received definitely does not ratchet as smoothly as the one in the manufacturer's promo video. The ratcheting "mechanism" is just four tabs on a metal plate that screws to the top of the body of the puller. Each tab presses against the teeth on the upper end of one of the arms, giving a little resistance as the arm swings up or down. Some of the arms move easily while others seem to get stuck. I tried adjusting the screws that appear to be positioned to increase or decrease the pressure that the tabs place on the arm teeth, but this had minimal effect.I decided to risk keeping this tool until I get the opportunity to use it. If it actually works well and holds up to a couple of jobs, I will increase my rating by a star. But, for now, I am disappointed in its workmanship.
