We have the alkaline tester and the filter only treats the water in the filter not as it flows through. I would not purchase again.

Cartridge was defective and leaking, but seller tried to tell me it was the installation like it's freaking rocket science to install it. Will NEVER buy this product and will NEVER deal with this seller again.

Even with plumbers tape and the fittings supplied with the filter it leaked and it was very difficult to finally get it to work without a leak

First of all, I am a Water Professional and own a water treatment business, 20+ years experience. This PH filter needs to be installed before the tank and after the membrane. Create a 1way loop with 1/4” check valves to keep the flow going in the right direction. This filter made me curious of performance because it’s very inexpensive. It works great. I’m getting 10.5-11 PH on initial startup. Anyone that gripes that these do not work, are obviously not connecting it the right way. Don’t over tighten the connections, they will crack easy and cause a leak.

Ho installato questo filtro per aumentare il PH dell'acqua già filtrata con un impianto ad osmosi inversa, l'acqua assume un sapore tremendo. Sconsigliato!

Although it says 1/4" (assuming it is NPT, ) the connection fittings which I used were 1/4" NPT, they kept leaking by the threads. I'm second guessing what the cartridge is for fittings. Could be BSP which looks almost the same as NPT but is straight and not tapered, or could also be #4 ORB because of the flare at the opening. Some clarification would be nice.

good:keeps ph above 9.0 and is consistentbest to install before final stage filter as water needs to sit in filter for it to gain mineralslasted longer than a week which is much better than two ispring alkaline filters i had(only lasted a week)on first hookup, water comes out clear, so no white residue like the other filters.Bad:initial water tasted funny but clears up after a few daysneeded to empty the first tank of water because of taste.minerals float to the top of the water ( can be seen by freezing water)overall happy with this product as we just wanted higher PH water and the minerals was an added benefit. we have a 50gpd RO and use about 3-4 gallons of water a day as well as a 20 LB ice maker. so in total, it works great and does well keeping up. if you want a higher PH, use this filter. if you want better mineral dilution, use the Ispring one just remember that the Ispring one doesn't last too long.

Photo attached of PH measured before and after installing. Changing out all filters after recently noticing rotten egg smell in water that was not present in source water (private well) and not sure of the root cause. Has been in use for 5 months. I was able to notice a difference, for the better, in taste and texture but my wife thinks I’m crazy as she did not notice much difference. Water comes out cloudy at first every time but clears up quickly. I have found that partially opening the faucet will produce continuous cloudy water.

PH: As you can see in pics I took a sample of RO water before I dropped in the PH+/Mineral stage cartridge and a sample after words (after flushing 3 RO tanks through the system). The digital PH meter is not calibrated so I'm sure it's the actual PH but it at least shows the differential.Minerals: Not sure the new mineral content as I have no water hardness test strips or anything. However; from a side by side taste test of pure RO water before adding PH+/mineral stage and after adding it, and also plain tap water. The new RO water with PH/Mineral tastes way, way better than before. No more of that sort of bitter aftertaste. Also, brewed coffee tastes way better again. I had been using straight city water (bypassing my water softener) for coffee to have those minerals to help taste. FYI. minerals in water "greatly" affects the taste of coffee). Now I can take the water straight from the RO system for brewing coffee.Tips: Do not install this as the very last stage in your system. If you do then the first shot of water out of your faucet will be concentrated with mineral from the water sitting in the mineral stage for the last while. Normally the last stage of an RO system in the final polishing carbon filter. Put the PH/Mineral stage right before it as the second last stage before the faucet output. This way the polishing carbon filter balances out any mineral concentration and gives it that last carbon clean touch. Carbon filters will not remove any minerals but does balance it out to prevent concentration during that first blast from the faucet.Lastly. Not sure how long this will last. I assume until the calcium and magnesium pellets are physically gone? I think I'll just change it every 8-12mths or so along with the other filters. Also, This stage did not come with any end fittings. If you're just replacing then no problem but this was a new stage I added in to the RO system so I had to buy Qty2, 1/4" push on tube fittings and cut a small 6" piece of tube from the exit line to the faucet to jumper this stage into the system. The fittings were $3.50ea from the big box store. No big deal. Install time was maybe 10min and easy, anyone can do it.

I can tell that it was working after I installed it and saw bubbles form in my water. They eventually went away in 2 days after most of the residual was flushed out. The water still taste great and my wife noticed it too.

Can produce Alkaline one cup one at a time only. Here's how it works on my observation and based on the tester I have. On the first drop of white water that is alkaline and when it turn to clear then its no longer alkaline but acidic water. In order to get alkaline again then you need to wait for few minutes in order for the stone inside the filter produced alkaline.
