Amazon “buried the lead” in product description. THE INK IS BLACK. Beautiful colors of barrels, and I wish the ink colors matched. I didn’t pick up the ink is black. But, these are super smooth writing. They glide on even low quality paper. No ink skipping. Nib covers are easy to remove. Clips are very strong.

These are great pens. They write very smoothly. I love the colors. Nobody at work can steal my pens now because they are different colors.

These pens are a game changer!!!I write a lot every day and prefer to use extra fine pens, both gel and regular ink ballpoint varieties. I most definitely recommend these for anyone desiring smooth, crisp, non-smeary (not smudging), and clump free writing utensils. Below is what I typically experience with pens I find.Many pens I find will initially write smoothly and clump free but start to skip (leave blank spots in the writing), smear or leave ink clumps on paper.These pens are not skippy, smeary, or clumpy. The ink dries quickly, I tested by writing then immediately rubbing my finger over the writing... NO SMEAR!!! Definite plus when writing cursive or small print. You gotta try these!

TL;DR: These pens are nice quality, a good value, and I will likely buy them again.Pros:- I have not noticed any leakage- Ink dries quickly for minimal smearing- Fine 0.5mm point which is my personal preference- Comes in several cute colors- Click-top and clip seem sturdy- No skipping so far, even when writing full paragraphs without stopping- Grip is smooth and comfortable- Good value, especially compared to other popular brands of ball point gel pensCons:- Some of the packaging such as the little plastic tube around the click tops on the pens seems unnecessarily wasteful- Available colors are limited and the ink is only black, so these might not work for you if you like to use different colored pens to organize information

Love the colors and the grip. Unfortunately, they do not all work. I ordered several packs. On 1/3 of them, either the ink got gunky and leaked from the cartridge, or the feeder/knob will stick, keeping the pen from retracting properly (I have to keep unscrewing and resetting the spring inside... this does not always work though, so I ended up tossing the pen all together). But, like I said, they are super cute and comfortable to hold and write with. But, the mechanics will keep me from buying again.

I am a writer and this is by far the best writing tool I have used to date. The ink dries quickly, does not smudge and I love the smooth way it "writes" across the page. And the price could not be beat for this kind of writing implement. I highly recommend this pen, as it last a long time, is smooth and the ink is dark black. Perfect
