This exhaust caught my eye with its stylish muffler which looks good when installed on the outer wall, especially with lighter colored walls or shed walls if building a generator shed. Also the instruction video shows how easy it is, especially with a template for the exhaust mount. It is a project that I was very much looking forward to having fun doing, until I tried to fit the exhaust pipe to my Genmax GM11000iET inverter generator. My generator at 11000 peak power, has an exhaust pipe (outer) diameter of 1 1/2 inches. This exhaust pipe fits over a 1 inch diameter. I can't in good operating conscience install a reducer which might damage my generator. The diameter of the extension hose is not specified in the product dimension illustration picture, but one can deduce it from the mount which shows a 1 inch inlet presumably from the extension hose.Other than that, I love the paint coating over the pipe, which would've match beautifully with my generator shed that has an off-white wall. The exhaust, mounting bracket all feel solid and of good quality. Oh well, I guess I won't be as lucky as those who's generator has an 1 inch exhaust. Maybe my second generator if at around 7000 or lower peak watts!

It doesn't reduce noise

Picked this up as part of a generator enclosure build for our home generator. Build is still in progress, but I did run this on our generator (Duromax 13000w) to test out the fit and noise level. This fit on the exhaust outlet, however I will have to make some modifications to make it work for my application. The exhaust hose is good quality, and I really like the muffler and pass-through setup. It definitely dropped the noise level down, and will make the whole assembly much quiter once I get it inside the enclosure. Nice piece of the puzzle for a DIY enclosure.

No need to purchase this. The muffler is ineffective at best.

Perfect solution to a generator shed, installed this kit on my shed over the weekend, it’s an easy install and the decible level is significantly lower than it running on its own. We had some power outages here, trying to sleep through the loud generators is tough. This is a welcome addition, love the all in one kit!

Easy to install and makes it so much quieter. You can still hear it but it's more like a light hum rather than a race car in the back yard
