The appearance is fun and great, but it is just not good as ice tongs. More of a piece to talk about than use.

we do funny stocking stuffers for christmas every year and i always try to find something crab-like for my dad, for whom i retitled our crab apple tree to 'dad apple' as an insolent child and these brought us all smiles and laughs this year. no idea how they work for ice, but they seem well made and they're sure to bring joy to the favorite crab in your life.

My husband said these look like something you can find at the dollar store. I still think they are cute and fun, and the tongs have a lot of flex to them, so I am not worried about them breaking. I got it to go with my crab hors doeurves platter.

It's crab ice cube tongs. Look great & the kids love it. Daughter will steal them to use as baby beginner chop sticks for Sushi.

I have a few of the Fred brand kitchen items and like them very much. They are usually both practical and fun! These little tongs are no exception. They are plastic nylon type material which makes them strong but still flexible enough to bend in order to grab together. The little pincers have a ribbed gap to pick up ice cubes, bit the tips also meet so you can pick up smaller things.My kids have been using them lately to grab hot pop-tarts out of the toaster. They are even accurate enough to grab Planter's cheese balls out of the can! Haha! I also have used them to fish out hot tea bags from my pitcher when making iced tea. They are really narrow enough to be the best tool for something like getting olives out of a jar, but could work in a pinch (get it? Pinch!? Lol)The only minor shortcoming I may see is that they aren't super long. So if you have a deep ice bucket you would have to put you hand almost in it to get to the bottom.Overall they are cute little tongs that work for lots of different tasks.

I got this for myself just because I thought it was so cute. I live at the coast and love anything with crabs or ocean/sea related. This is so unique!I end up using it to grab olives out of the jar, but it would be good to pick up anything small.It will stand on it’s own, but would tip over easily. I currently keep it behind my soap dispenser at my kitchen sink. It gives me a good laugh seeing it - there’s something that is really humorous about it.Well made too!You can see my photos - one where I keep it near my sink and another showing that it will stand on it’s own.I am really happy with this. It would make a great gift too!

It's super cute, and love how it looks. Works fairly well (although metal would work better to grab on to the ice cubes). The plastic kind of feels like something that could have been 3d printed -- it's not bad but kind of feels cheap.
