This stop lamp switch is an OEM part, so it fit exactly as it should. I had an error code on my 2009 GMC Truck. (P0566 non-functioning Cruise control) that seemed unrelated to this part. Further investigation led to this is a multifunctional switch is linked to the operation of the cruise control computer. Received this part and replaced it, and the error displayed on the dash was gone.

Fixed the cruise control in my 07 GMC Sierra. Not difficult to install. Plenty of YouTube videos if you want step by step. 4 stars because the shipping date kept getting delayed.

Fixed the P0571 code and resulting CEL in our '08 Sierra 2500 Duramax. Easy to install, just be sure to climb under there with a 10mm ratcheting wrench, not a socket and ratchet (too deep). Cruise control works again, too.
