Worked great after it was programmed to vehicle it synced right up haven't had a problem since I'd suggest looking for a shop that can do it to save money instead of a dealer your going to save yourself 40 bucks at least

I installed this in my 2009 Pontiac G8 GT. It was an OEM part, and worked perfectly after the dealership programming. My only issue was the dealership that programmed it. Although I told them to program the TPMS/keyless entry RECEIVER they spent over an hour trying to program the TPMS sensors and keyless entry transmitter. They also charged me for that hour of wasted service. It took me explaining what I needed two more times to get the receiver programmed, and a call to the service manager to get a refund for the extra hour of labor. Moral of the story, I recommend you be very very specific with the service department at the dealership about the item you need programmed.

Installed on 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3L 4x4 crew cab. I was having issues with lost communication on old receiver and installed this new one, took it to my GM dealer to program.

This gets 1 star for now because it doesn't say anything about having to be programmed by the dealer and I haven't had the chance to do that yet

I did have to take the car into the dealership to have the part programed to the vehicle. Research had indicated that due to my car having all the options that it could be programed with the DRIVER INFORMATION CONTROLS. (Wrong) It did haveto go to the dealership for programming. It was quite easy and simple to install. Remove the single screw at top of both windshield post cover and unclip the the cover from the post. Carefully lay them to each side and you won't have to unplug the small speakers in the cover. Carefully lift the panel between the dash and the windshield by prying up next to the dash. Six clips (+ or -) holding this panel down with a foam rubber strip across the front next to the windshield pressure sealed. Twist the day / night sensor to remove it without unplugging is easiest. Receiver is self clipped on driver side and easily replaced. About a 30 minute first timer job and 5 minute experienced. Call dealership and get price quote for reprogramming module in order to keep from being overcharged for installation.
