I bought this for my Chevy 2500. It's about 90% of my old OEM antenna for reception, but it's a whole lot better than the Ronin bullet antenna I bought (got two stations, neither of them good; I left a review on that one too). On the whole, I'm satisfied with this antenna.

This GM OE replacement antenna is the way to go ... well worth paying a little extra. Exact match for OE on 2001 Chevy Suburban that finally lost the battle with the automated car wash rollers. It literally took me one minute to remove the broken "stub" of the old antenna and put the new one in. The wrench that comes with the antenna is very clever. Before you install it, it seems stuck in place at the base of the antenna, but it pops free at the exact moment you reach the correct torque/depth while screwing it down onto the mounting stud. Very cool, and ridiculously simple ... wish ALL part replacements were this easy.

It looks like it's hit or miss with the 'Garage' configuration tool on Amazon. This item showed it would NOT fit my 2008 Sky Redline, but it would fit my 1996 Camaro SS. Well that's strange because I took the stock antenna from my SS to test fit on the Redline and it did indeed fit, proper thread and length. I ordered an 'open box' of this item from Amazon warehousedeals, less than $15.00 to my door - we have to pay sales tax now here... Anyway, long story - short - fits perfect and way better reception than the stubby antenna the previous owner had on the Redline. Based on price and function 5 Stars. The Amazon Garage could use a little work though. Do your homework before ordering.

This antenna was not an exact fit for my 2000 GMC 2500, although several web sites said it was. I did some modification work and got it to fit, and it works well. The antenna is fine, but it is nearly impossible to identify a proper fit on line. In the future I would buy through a dealer, as much as I hate that.

I really wish this would have fit my vehicle because it looked to be well built and the "corkscrew" design works great for reducing the "whistling" sound when driving at high speeds. The product description and Amazon "make sure it fits" application both said this would fit my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD, but when the antenna arrived the male thread on my truck was much larger than the female threaded base of the antenna. After doing further research, I believe this antenna has a M6 thread and my 2006 Sierra has a M7 thread post. I'm guessing there was a transition to the larger M7 fitting sometime in 2006. I ended up buying a universal antenna and it came with adapters to fit most models. The universal antenna looks OK, but is very noisy at speeds over 45MPH and I would have liked to have the ACDelco model. There is an adapter for sale separately that will reduce an M7 thread to an M6 but it is sold separately. Amazon receives 2 star for not having the right vehicle info and 5 stars for a no hassle return.

Several weeks ago some low down thief decided that instead of buying their own replacement antenna they would just steal mine while I was out dining. Although I have been able to continue using my to play music, I have dearly missed my radio.I was able to obtain the correct part number for my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer and I started calling around for prices. Once I did that I found out that most all of my local parts dealers either didn't have them in stock or they were quoting anywhere from $30 to $45. Now as much as I knew I needed this part, I did not like those prices. Even though I didn't have high hopes I figured it didn't hurt to look on Amazon and there it was selling for at least $5 less than everywhere else, in-stock and shipped for FREE. *Jackpot!*I received the Antenna tonight and besides a little difficulty removing it from the very securely shrink wrapped packaging, it was easy to install. I appreciate that it came with a small plastic piece that allowed me to torque it down tightly. (Hopefully deterring another theft) I have to say that the part looks exactly like my former antenna and good quality too. I can definitely recommend purchasing this as a replacement for your vehicle. Just make sure to use the part checker Amazon provides if you're not sure whether this will fit your vehicle.
