This was the reason for the whining noise in the ol' 04 Duramax. Easy to install the two and now she's purring again.

Item arrived in time, was as described and fit my truck just right. I will not that there was a small amount of play between the center hole and the bolt that goes through it until the bolt was tight which doesn’t seem to effect it after the few thousand miles I’ve put on it. I figured I’d include that but to provide a heads up to anyone installing Incase they get to that point and worry about it. I’d say that’s how it’s supposed to be, mine is doing just fine. This part fixed my belt chirp noise that occurred when the heat or AC was on, sounds weird but true.

Were exactly the same as the ones on my 2005 Silverado (LLY Duramax). Made in Japan no less all numbers and embossing were identical the ones (2) I replaced on my truck.

2002 Duramax with 249,000 miles. Started hearing a noise like alternator bearing starting to go bad. Being foolish I let it go (I'll get to it later). In the dark of night the bearing froze up, tore the serpentine belt to shreds and and I drifted off the road with no power steering or power brakes as the belt runs both. Bought belt and the first pulley at the local discount auto parts store at a much higher cost for the same bearing and belt. So, if you hear a small bearing noise, look at these pulleys (2 on Duramax). They are quick to change (10 minutes each) and about 1/3rd cheaper here and you don't wind up stranded along the side of the road. I purchased the 2nd bearing and the tensioner pulley here, so all would be new.

Genuine OE pulley. The box says made in japan, but the bearing is hidden. This must be a slight redesign from the original units from my 2006 truck since the idler has a shield installed in the rear as well, which is good for keeping debris out. The original NSK bearings made it 150,000 miles and still felt ok, I hope these will make it another 100k
