Great Tom mount as with all Gibraltar hardware. Accepts all thickness’ of L-rod that I’m aware of and looks great. Just be aware that the receiving ends of the screws need countersinking. So if not done right, you could really screw up the outside of the drum shell.

Easy to install mounts . Holds tight to the rod. My kit has a 3/8” rod and the mounts have an easy to access opening. I had tried theDWSMTB12CR2 1/2” mount and found that the opening was to large. I have included a shot of the old mounts, they did not keep the rims suspended any longer. My kit is a ‘no namer’ so I can not give any brand reference.

I purchased this to make some changes into the configuration on my Ludwig Accent drum kit in order to have a more vintage look. The rod mount fits perfeclty and it gives a nice vintage look to the drumkit.

I bought these to replace the Gibraltar SC-TL2 brackets I was using to mount my high and middle toms. While the SC-TL2s secure floor tom legs very well, they allow mounted toms to sway side-to-side a bit. These SC-STL4 brackets are much more secure and don't allow the side-to-side movement. While these do cost a little more, they come with a memory lock. They are well worth the price.The only reason I didn't give these brackets 5 stars is that like some of the other users, I found the mounting screws to be just a little too long for my 6-ply shells, but the fix was cheap and simple. I went to my local hardware store and bought some small bumper washers for 19 cents each. They filled up the gap between the supplied washer and the drum shell. This probably isn't an issue with thicker drum shells.

It does the job, but of you have to buy the Gibraltar suspension mount which it DOES NOT fit perfectly. I have ordered four of these sets and had to either drill to make the holes bigger or add washers to make it fit snug. At these prices by the SAME manufacture; these to should fit each other like a well tailored suit, not an outlet store reject. That aside, they are rubber insulated to prevent rattle and built to last. Minus one star for high price (About $50-60 a set that is sold separately?) and second star for hassle in attaching to each other.

Installed on a Meinl doumbek. Works as advertised. Nice and solid. Looks better than other standard Gibraltar clamp. I recommend it.
