I'm a long time player of Strats, a few Americans and my prized Made in Japan. I also have a custom shop ESP 7 string baritone. I took a bit of a break and recently picked the guitars up again. Been seeing some reviews on this lately. I knew I wanted a Stratocaster style but buy a different brand. This was more than reasonable with great feedback everywhere I looked. Well it shipped next day for starters. Arrived in perfect condition, and perfectly intonated, just about in tune. Perfectly set up. Nice action, frets, and bridge. I knew people said it didn't feel like a Strat to long time players, but I jumped right on and was more than comfortable. Whether your a pro or looking for a really nice first guitar, I can highly recommend this G&L. Might make a few changes, but this is truly a great guitar. I have ones that cost way more and am very pleased.

The guitar arrived a couple days earlier than estimated delivery and was packaged satisfactorily. Out of the box, the guitar had been setup at the factory and was intonated as well. Nicely finished, put together well. Changed strings and was off and running with awesome strat sounds from those pickups. My colleague who is tremolo bar aficianado loved the one installed on this G&L. He kept playing it and wouldn't put it down. The one weakness is the tuners. They can't stand up to heavy trem bar action. New tuners in order.Here's why I gave it five stars: The guitar did not have the screw that holds the whammy bar in place. I sent an email via Amazon to the vendor, MusicStoreLive (MSL). No response. Sent another email using the Contact Us link at the MusicStoreLive website. No response. But within a few days, I received an envelope from G&L factory with two screws. Not sure how G&L knew to send it. Have to believe MSL got it done in cooperation with G&L so all-around perfect outcome for me.
