The lanyard is easy to install and works well. I did drill a pilot hole before installing the self tapping screws that came in the kit. I only needed one at this time to keep the bike rack pin from being misplaced but I'm sure I'll use the rest for other applications.

They advertise 20 but only ship you 10 and act like they didn't know it. Trying to get Amazon to help was worthless because they didn't ship it so they don't offer replacements. Buying these will be a waste of time unless you don't mind only getting half your order, other wise buy them elsewhere.The cable itself is 8" long not counting metal tab. Thickness is 1/16" and that includes the vinyl cover, so the cable itself is probably around 1/32" or so. If you just want the lightest duty cable you can find this is probably it. It's thin and very flexible. Metal tab is 3/64" thick and bends easily. The key ring included is also very light duty and roughly 1-1/16" diameter.
