I am not an artist, so there is no hope I could hand paint or draw anything on these, but I am into sublimation. I know these are NOT sublimation blanks, but I have laminate film that I intend to use on the surface of the ceramic to make them work as sublimation blanks. That way, I can make sets of custom coasters using my heat press, and then applying the cork backing to them. They are a nice size, perhaps even a bit bigger than the typical coaster. I highly recommend, whether you are an artist or just a crafter.

Does not take sublimation. I have gone through almost every coaster to get a good one and they are all bad. Bought some from elsewhere and they are coming out perfect.

17 of my coaster couldn't sublimate because of scratches. Which sucks because I really needed them for my show.

I measured 7 of the 50 tiles to get some perspective on the size, all 7 were over 4" in diameter. This wouldn't be a problem if I were making coasters but I'm not. I ordered these specifically because the said they were 3 15/16" in diameter for use in a woofworking project I'm doing. This means that instead of boring a 4" hole (forstner bit) I now have to use a router with a jig to create a 4 I/16" inch recess for them to sit in - a lot more work.The tiles themselves are fine and of good quality. The only other drawback was that it took them 15 days from the date of order to ship them and another 6 days to reach me. If you need these, don't be in a hurry!

Used these ceramic coasters for alcohol ink, acrylic paint, spray paint, and resin. No issues. The bottom side is not glazed so it tends to leave a wet stain if resin makes its way down there.

The finish on these coasters is very smooth and I was able to paint them easily. I like that they come with the cork backing.
