Wanted a good way to organize the kids work books, coloring books and more. Therse worked out perfect for the bottom shelf of the book shelf. They are able to take in and out and if one gets stuck the front side comes up easily and can be slid easily back into place

Assembly was very difficult and I wonder if maybe I didn't snap them together correctly. I use these in my classroom to hold notebooks and folders. We don't even use them for textbooks, but they fall apart easily and tip to the sides. They're very attractive so I would love to make them work.

Once aired out and assembled, the Glenmal "12 Pack Black Plastic Magazine Holder" set provides functional storage for magazines, reference books, smaller binders, or similar materials. Made of polypropylene (PP) plastic, so light weight and flexible. Dimensions shown in the second listing photo are accurate. A little too small for U.S. letter-size 3-ring binders, but magazines, letter-size folders, smaller international B5 or A5 size binders and all but the largest books fit easily. Each unit can hold a 3-inch stack of magazines, folders, or books. My wife will use these to organize and store a portion of her collection of craft magazines. The 12 pack arrived with the magazine holders flat in five pieces, with each holder in an individual plastic wrapping packed together in a large ziploc bag sealed with a generous amount of clear packing tape. I tried to carefully remove the tape so the outer bag could be re-used, but the tape and glue were stronger than the bag. Distinct chemical odor upon opening the bag, to the point where I had to put everything outside to air out before proceeding with assembly. (I should note that I may be more sensitive to smells than many other people.) No assembly instructions included in the package, and I did not notice the instructions in the third listing photo until after I had already puzzled out how to put the holders together. Although these holders will sit very closely together on a shelf or desk as shown in the listing photos, unlike another brand that we already owned there is no built-in way to fasten or "gang" these holders together into a unit. (But you could use tie wraps or twist ties through the holes in the sides.)Although I would have preferred easier to open packaging, no odor, and more obvious assembly instructions, this 12-pack of Glenmal magazine holders provides an effective solution for organizing and storing magazines, folders, or similar materials. We may need to buy another set for my wife's growing collection of magazines.

I am cutting these down to make smaller holders for some (~ 8" x 6") paperbound books -- very impressive how well it holds together even with a large part of it cut off.

I use these all over the place. I have them in my office, in the breakroom and at home. They are very easy to build and set up quickly. They hold a lot of items like magazines, thin binders, notebooks, files and paper. I do wish that they had like a litte grip on the bottom so they wouldn't slide if you're grabbing something out. But other than that they have been working out great to keep me organized. The plastic is thick and all the parts slide securely into place.
