Great kit has everything you need! Pleanty of paints I did thin them out with water & colores are still bright. Each house is individually packed & has lots of little wooden decorations you can glue on. I did use glue to attach the pieces even though they say you don't need to. I will be putting these outside for the birds so wanted them to stay tight.I did not glue the roofs on becsuse I want to be able to clean them! They fit tight.You might want to get 1 bigger paint brush because the ones in kit are small. The verity pack of brushes you see in pic are my own!Would buy again! I got for myself but would be great for kids. At $4.25 each they are a bargain!

Pro's: They come in separate packages. Easy to assemble and theybstay assembled.Good quality painting and enough of it.Con's Not enough painting brushes. I had my own. Doesn't come with glue for the " do dad's " I had my own. The " do dad's " are the same for each house. Which made it very boring. 2 of the houses were the same . Which is shown in the Pic but c'mon could have made them all different.My real disappointment was the "do dad's being the same . I guess it's okay if different people were doing each house.Overall I really enjoyed this product. I would buy this again or other products from this retailer.

These look so good when painted. You can create a look as you wish. The different shapes are great and add to interest.

Very nice and big. Came with everything needed. I used hot glue to seal the seems just incase. It was a great craft for my 3/4th graders and great for the birds.

I bought these birdhouses for my granddaughters (10 & 12) to put together as a STEM project. The box contained 4 birdhouses, all the necessary parts & arrived quickly. They put them together (using a little glue & very little help from me), painted & put sturdy designs on them. The paints were very vivid colors & various designs, which made them unique & added to the total effect. The girls were totally absorbed for 2 1/2 hours & so proud of their accomplishments! I don't know if the assembled & painted boxes will last through the winter, but if not, they would work well as house decorations. We still have 2 more boxes to decorate another time - talk about a bargain! (There was one tall, skinny house that I thought was too small to be on a par with the others. I'd like to see a different, comparable house in future packs.) Enjoy!

This was a fun craft for my daughters and I during a rainy Saturday. They are 3 and 5. Some of the paint was dried out but I had lots of extra so no big deal. I also had extra paintbrushes. Would not recommend using the ones included for all of the parts of houses as they are skinny brushes. They have been hanging outside in our trees for about 6 weeks and even lasted through a tropical storm with 50 mph wind gusts. Pleased with the purchase. Will likely buy more in the future.

The kids were VERY excited to make these birdhouses. Overall, they had fun painting the houses and all the little decorative pieces. They enjoyed hot-gluing the decorative pieces onto the houses after the paint dried.NOTES:Elementary aged children will need a lot of help with this project. Good if you’re looking for creative family fun time! Not good if you’re looking for something the kids can do on their own.There are 4 strips of small paint pots. Each strip has 5 colors of paint: 2 strips have one set of colors while the other two have a different set of colors. Great for variety, but kids will have to share in order to get the colors they want. Also: paint takes quite a bit of scrubbing to wash off skin and surfaces.4 paintbrushes are provided. Each one is a different style of brush (flat, round, angled, and long). The brush heads are small and very poor quality - the bristles completely fell out of one of the brushes before use! We used paintbrushes saved from previous projects.Instructions say the tabs and slots will hold the birdhouses together without glue or nails. Of the 4 houses in this kit, only one held together. The fact that the houses kept popping apart while being painted was frustrating for the kids (and the adults helping the kids). After paint was dry we used decorative (colored and glitter) hot glue to reinforce the connecting edges and the tab/slot areas. Pretty, so kids were happy…. Just be aware you might need extra glue of some kind. (Had I realized the houses would pop apart so easily, I would have put craft glue on all the tab/slot areas prior to painting. The kids could have painted the decorative pieces while the glue dried, so waiting wouldn’t have created an issue.).Two tubes of white glue were provided with the kit. I assume these were meant to be used to attach the decorative pieces. We chose to use hot glue because it is faster and sticks better (no pieces sliding down the side of the house before the glue dries…). Didn’t open the included glue tubes, so cannot speak to quality or efficacy.Overall good project with a few complications included. None of these were deal-breakers and the finished birdhouses were cute. Most importantly, the kids enjoyed the project and the results.
